We have hadthe camera out today and thought you might like to see Olly a year on from his accident. He is Purr Master General of Paws Inn.

He has enjoyed a lovely morning of cuddles and play (as always!).

a Buster collar which he must keep on until all the steroids are out of his system so that he can have extensive skin tests and a possible toe amputation.

Poor Olly.    to him.

Olly always had designs on the late Busters crown, well he has got more than he bargained for, Andy has presented him with a Buster collar which he must keep on until all the steroids are out of his system so that he can have extensive skin tests and a possible toe amputation. That will teach him to have ideas of grandeur  :Luv:

last night he was being very good after seeing the vet and literally crying because the injections hurt him so much; he was watching over Buster who is not doing too well and he gave Buster a wash to perk him up; so I decided a little promotion was on the cards and explained to Olly that we will never have another President but if he swears to care for Buster I would make him a Senator; Olly has accepted his promotion and slept with Buster last night.
So thats it Holly the Lancs cat became Olly who is now Senator Olly the Cheshire cat with a big happy grin  :)

Brave Senator Olly.  I hope the injections work.  Have you any idea why his fur is not growing back, Teresa?

Almost 2 months since Ollys last update so here goes.
This gorgeous boy seems to be having sensitivity issues, his fur has still not re grown and is patchy, he has a hole on his neck from a Frontline combo burn which is taking an age to heal and now he has a totally bald toe. The vet thinks that after his accident he had no feeling in lower regions of his body due to nerve damage and now for some reason the damage has repaired and he is hyper sensitive, he may need monthly injections for life, vet will review in 4 weeks time.
Meanwhile the crafty rogue has been doing his best to worm his way into our affections and getting ready to fill Busters paws when the time comes; last night he was being very good after seeing the vet and literally crying because the injections hurt him so much; he was watching over Buster who is not doing too well and he gave Buster a wash to perk him up; so I decided a little promotion was on the cards and explained to Olly that we will never have another President but if he swears to care for Buster I would make him a Senator; Olly has accepted his promotion and slept with Buster last night.

Olly has really made himself at home and is trying to worm his way into the affections of Busters girlfriends when Buster isn`t looking. Dont think Tula was overly impressed with his charms.
This gorgeous boy is still looking for a home maybe having no trousers is putting people off. Hopefully his fur will regrow when the weather gets warmer and someone will fall in love with him.

Just realised that I hadn't updated on the lovely Olly.
Over the last couple of weeks he has really gained strength in his leg and now runs up and down the stairs at a great rate of knots,he can now successfully climb to the top of the scratching post and get himself down again. I think this lad is now ready for rehoming.

I`ve been a really clever boy this morning and managed to perform my first leap up; ok only a small leap but I`ve been eyeing up the beds on the scratching post,it seems Anastasia likes the top bed and Buster likes the bottom one with Tula cuddling up to him, the lovely middle bed seemed to have my name on it so I went for it - One small leap but an enormous one in my recovery. :)

Well, I had my weekly visit to the Inn today and got the chance to cuddle Mr Olly for the second time now.  I took some chicken with me so he was very friendly, but then decided he would rather laze in the sun than have a little walk around and take his daily exercise.  Here he is looking very handsome sitting in the sun.....the next photo is him starting to eye up the scratching post and finally he makes his move and has a good scratch and stretch.  It seems that Auntie Claire has the magic and managed to get him to use the post rather than the carpet!  It is amazing what chicken can do!

Olly is turning into a monster, yesterday evening we had an extended exercise period which he loved and behaved like a perfect gentleman. Today his exercise period involved a very heavy strop on my nice hall carpet; I told him no and began scratching the large scratching post with my finger nails to show him what to do, he ran upstairs and had a good strop on my upstairs carpet  He must be getting better ,he`s certainly getting faster.

Wow, you must be so pleased to see him like that. Does he have any other complications from the accident?

Theres not much to a cat when you take away the hair  :Luv:

Believe it or not he still has hardly any feeling in his back leg; he does tend to be a little tender around his ribs but no other complications; Olly is one very lucky boy to have cheated death.
He is rather scrawny on his bald end, we are working on that

This very wicked boy has run me ragged today, he has managed to climb all the way up the stairs and then when he got to the top entertained me with his version of The Beatles, Help!  Seems he can get up but not down.
Heres a few pics I took earlier while he was exercising.

Olly has been a bad boy today,he climbed 3 stairs and when I carefully lifted him down he spotted some chicken I had on a worktop as a treat, the little terror somehow stood on his hind legs trying to reach said chicken.During his long periods of cage rest he has been keeping himself amused with body building techniques (eating) and singing. This little man has an enormous character hidden within his scrawny frame. :)

Oh dear: another feisty little one that I have fallen in love with  :Luv2:

Hands off! :naughty:

You have to love this little blighter. He's so cuddly.
