I cannot deny that a cat lover and his cat have a master/slave relationship. The cat is the master.

OK I think I've figured out this technical stuff.

Here's Lily in her favourite sleeping position

I think she's after something

Sleeping again (you can see her shaved side from her spay op)

I loves my scratching post

H and  :welcome: to Purrs,

Lily sounds like a very spoilt little girl.  Can't wait to see pics of her.

If you upload your pics to www.photobucket.com it will automatically resize them and you can then post directly into the text field by copying the IMG code under each pic.

Lily has a very cute face but we need to see the rest of her, it's a legal requirement here on Purrs  :evillaugh:  Sounds like she has you well trained already  :)  See here for details of where to get peek a prize toy box... http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=11402.0

you must get the wee mice from the shop they have a little rattle noise that they make when they are getting bopped around, Max loves them, in fact Max loves any mouse shape things he just ignores everything else  she does look very beautiful  :Luv:

*Well done Lily on having your meomy so well trained - Max Monster *

Awwww, what a cutie! :Luv: :Luv:

Its great the first time you take in a cat (or as you say, it allows you to take it in!!) Its such fun buying the new stuff and playing with them.
I hope you have many, many happy healthy years with Lily, they really are incredibly rewarding and so funny :naughty:

Thanks Clare,

I've seen the fat boys and did think about getting one.  I might treat her to a new one when I move to a bigger place.  Her current scratching post is tall enough so she can fully extend her front legs whilst sat down.  But as I said, I'm moving soon (well as soon as I sell my place) from a one-bed flat to a 2/3-bed house so she might get a scratching pole for each floor!

It sounds like Lily has got you wrapped around her little paws already  ;D

At least the majority of the toys/posts etc are being well used, its when you spend the money and they totally ignore it that its a pain lol!

One thing I can totally recommend is the Ancol Fat Boy Scratching post, you can get them from Surrey Pet Supplies (or ebay where I got mine), and it is huuuuuuge!  I can't really see how big Lily is from your avatar pic, but if the 'normal' scratching posts seem a bit small, this one is great as they can reach to the top at full stretch  ;D

Hope the missing toys turn up soon, Max always does that, he's lost 4 ping-pong balls since Christmas day  :-:

Poot, adopted 14th August 2009. I'm sure Maxy sent you to me sweetie xx

Introducing Lily

Hi, I'm new to kittydom and to this board.  I adopted my rescue cat Lily 3 weeks ago but it feels like she's been here forever (in a good way!).  After preparing myself for a nervous, scared kitty I wasn't expecting the cool, confident princess she is.  It's true what they say, I'm not her owner, she chooses to let me care for her.

As I new to this game (never had a cat before) I was all eager and bought every accessory under the sun.  This made me very popular at the local pet shop (which is actually a good thing as she's trimmed Lily's claws and offers advice whenever I see her) but means I have a flat full of cat stuff.  I don't really mind it, but wish I could stop spending my lunch hour browsing the web for new and exciting cat toys.  Here's what I've got so far:

1 x scratching pole (very well used)
1 x cubby with scratching pole and high platform above (useful for generally spying on the neighbours and birds)
2 x catnip balls (1 currently AWOL, no idea where she's put it)
1 x catnip mouse (very well chewed)
2 x chase after toys
1 x leather wand (again, well chewed)
1 x metal comb (not used as a comb but as a toy whenever I try and groom her)
1 x slicker brush (eventually got used to it)
1 x chase-the-ball-round-a-track thingy (which she doesn't play with)

On order:
1 x Da Bird
1 x treat barrels

Trying to find:
1 x peek-a-prixe toy box

Somebody stop me!

Gill
