I think we all always think the worst because it is what we are scared of.  If it was my cat I would give him bland food and 24 hours and if still having diarrhoea then take him to the vet.  However if you will feel better taking him today do it - less stress for you but obviously more stress for him .  Good luck with whatever you decide and hope he is soon pooing solids again!

His been again!

I'm really stressing! I know I shouldn't but I am! I work for an animal charity and deal with vets day in and day out and always think the worst! I know I need to calm down!

oh don't get too stressed sometimes things like this happen I remember Oscar having blood in his poo, I rushed home from work so I could go with oh to take him to the vet and they just said oh it happens sometimes!  if you can get him to eat something plain he'll probably be fine by tomorrow

Jess won't eat them! We tried this last year when we had a diarrhoea episode, he won't touch it! Or Feline ID, mind you he had a nibble at Milo's on sunday!

Its such hard work being a fur baby mummy I'm struggling today I can tell you why can't they talk to me!

Still might be a good idea to stick to Chicken and fish for a day to rest his system bit  :ahh:

Thinking about it, thats just what happened with Gwynnie recently, she had an episode of diarrhea, then the next day it was fine. Then a few days ago, she was sick followed by really runny poo  :sick: - next day she was completely fine again and she's been ok since! So hopefully its a similar thing with Jess and will just clear up on its own. I didnt take Gwynnie to the vet because I didnt want to stress her out either - in the end I didnt need to.

Have you got feliway diffusers for Jess and Milo?

I've got 2 feliways pluged in, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen where Jess is over night, I think I might move the kichen one to our bedroom in the day time as that is where Jess is spending his time (under our bed in his bed - his safe place)

Might try some rescue remedy in the water though.

Think I might see how he goes for the rest of the day, and take it from there. Poor Husband is getting stressed out checking litter trays and feeling ill himself.

Yes it can, but diet is a significant cause, so it could have been the other biscuits, hope he's ok  :hug:

I doubt a few biscuits could cause it. Stress is one of the countless other things that could be responsible. I wouldn't take one of mine to the vet for a one-off episode but might be worth a phone call to the vet to see what they think. From experience, the vet will usually say bland food for 24hrs and if it continues bring them in. Although I wouldn't risk anything, I think a vet trip will probably stress him out more.

Jess seems to have an upset tummy, his been to the toilet twice this morning and my Husband says its quite lose. I'm not sure whether its because he ate a couple of Milo's biscuits (his on kitten Hills).

I think I'm going to take him to the vets this evening, can stress cause diarrhoea does anyone know?
