Awww, Dawn. :)  I've got the consultation fee, I've just got NO clue how much treatment will cost - or indeed if it will cost anything, to be honest the gecko with the worse infection isn't looking too good. :( (And it really did look like it was improving. It's quite difficult to read the signs from a lizard!) I'm hoping I'm wrong and there's something that can be done.

With regards to the possiblity of transport....YEAY! If they can help, ask them when they are available in the next week and I'll work around them. It's the least I can do. :)

JS, I may have someone to take you, I've just got to bell them when I get back from the vets.  I have also had someone emailed to say they will pay the vet direct by cheque for you so if you can send me the vets details etc etc, I'll let them know

Sam, to be honest the buses aren't going to be direct enough. The geckos will need to be on a hot water bottle as it is!

Just checked on multimap and it's half an hours drive away (20 miles) from where I live. Apparantly it's around the area of Codnor and fairly close to Denby.

Thanks for answering Gill. I'm at a complete loss about what else to do!  :scared:

This is actually a personal request.

I have two leopard geckos that I've had about nine years this year. They weren't babies when I got them, so are probably around 14.

They've been having trouble with their eyes for a few months and I've been doing what I was advised to by other reptile owners - which seemed to be helping. However, in the last week there's been a serious decline in the health of one of them - she won't eat and when I clean her eyes there's blood on the cotton wool bud.

I'm seriously worried. I have no idea how much the vet visit will cost, (I'm hoping to goodness that the vet will take pity on me and allow a payment plan) so I can't offer petrol money. But if this is not a terribly long drive for someone, I'd appreciate the help.

I have posted on another forum and will continue to hound the few people I know that drive. If you can help, please PM me. Thanks.
