Feed him separately from the others, so that he gets relaxed again about eating. Possibly your cats are going through one of those periods that seem to come in any multi-cat household, where one or other of them tries it on to climb the household pecking order. When that happens everyone's fur gets fluffed and starts becoming at bit unpleasant. If that is the problem it will pass, but if not, I don't know what to suggest... Sorry hun - I am sure that one of the newer members said she was training as a behaviourist, and am also very sure that unseeliechilde mentioned she is a behaviourist - maybe they could suggest some options if you were to PM them??
Could just be having your OH underfoot over the holidays - unaccustomed extended exposure to male company does that to me at times - I start snarling (but not over my food)
