Ooo, I'm so glad this topic came up. Before I brought Memphy home I got him a bottle of Kookamunga Catnip spray and a box of the dried leaves. Not too long after I sprayed some toys with the catnip but nothing happened. I didn't bother and thought maybe he's not interested or maybe he's not affected.
Last night for some reason I got out the Catnip box. I put some in a bag put in one of the mouseys (he
doesn't play with. Well he was going absolutely nuts
when I was doing it, trying to pinch the bag. Then he was playing with the mouse for a good 30 minutes non stop, he was cuddling it, licking, biting, rolling around. I threw it and he kept bringing it back. Then he fell sleepy. Soon after he was trying to get to the box (which I had shoved between me and the side of the chair). The box now has teeth marks
he was really wedging himself down the chair with just a little wiggly bum sticking out. The box ended up back in the cupboard!!!! Then he fell asleep on his back with his head tipped back at a funny angle (I swear, he looked drunk!!!
).
So he's either a fruitcake by nature or it was the catnip.
