Sharon had a call from another lady who wants an indoor cat - very luckily, she is happy to have Diego. I called the woman who is giving the cat up and told her what was happening. She said she only wanted him to have a 100% perfect home where he would be loved as much as they love him (do they?

) and everything had to be perfect. I explained that we would never send a cat somewhere that wan't right. I also pointed out that unfortunately, there isn't a waiting list for blind cats

Fingers crossed the second lady doesn't get cold feet.

Still not sorted. The man left a message on my phone asking why the lady hadn't called him today. Sharon had a message from her saying that she was taken into hospital last night and was only allowed out for a couple of minutes to make a phone call

- Sharon has another lady who wants an indoor cat so we are hoping she will be interested in Diego.

Watch this space.

Thanks to Mags for finding this ad - otherwise this cat may not have been around much longer. Although they hadn't called any rescues, he said the "free ad" was their last hope

Thanks to Mark we have managed to trace the owners of this completely blind puss. and i have put my contact in touch with them both.. Good job too as without our intervention this puss days were numbered...

Why and earth they didnt contact a rescue i have no idea.

He is 6yrs old called Diego and is blind in both eyes, but copes very well. But change in family circumstances mean that he cannot no logner be cared for and they are desperate to find him a loving home.

Lets wait and see if we can help another puss...

One more thing, it really helps if abit more information is given out to start with on these cases as without some perseverance we would of had to give up on this one.. due to so many dead ends.

I did a google search to see if I could find the ad. I found another freead for the same(ish) area advertising a blind cat to good home - it was a different number but I rang anyway, it went to voicemail AND IT WAS A RESCUE!

I just phoned Ron. He said his computer was down last night so he hasn't seen any emails. He is in the middle of doing the cats at the moment but will try to look at his emails afterwards. He is going to phone me or email me. I will phone Sharon with the number - Unless Mags sees this and can give us the number - unless anyone has Mags phone number?

Can someone find out about this as i have someone who lives in Maidstone that just rang me who wants to save a deserving animal.. She lives in a big flat, is at home all day, no kids, 2 other cats ages 5 and 6...
