Burmese certainly are characters, mine all were. They are also vertical cats in that if there is anything there, they will climb it, curtains, furniture, bookshelves, people, you name it. I would go with the tonkinese theory for those toms also - that would account for the colour points and also the rounder body/head shape which is more consistent with the burmese. Interestingly, the burmese in NZ is a much more oriental body shape than here or in Oz, I had quite a job trying to convince folk Sofie was burmese as she was too cobby for their understanding of the breed ...
