To flea or not to flea... thats is the question lol

I don't do mine every month more like every couple, they do go out but its cat proofed and touch wood we never seem to have any problems, I do comb them the check

I do my indoor cats about 3 times a year.  I did get lax and start doing them less than that but discovered to my horror last year that indoor cats can get fleas    I don't like applying harsh chemicals too often, but it's harder to get rid of them once the house is infested (esp when you have a small flat and nowhere to put them while you spray the flat).  I tend to do them at the start of the summer, a bit later on in the summer and before a cattery visit.

I think as long as you comb your cats daily to ensure there is no problem, it is fine not to flea so often.

I dont flea monthly unless a problem as i worry about overusing chemicals. The house is sprayed and the cats probably get done every 9-10wks

I do Max monthly even though indoor only, there's so many cats around outside that I could easily bring in a flea, and next doors cat seems intent on trying to get in our house as well, so can't be too careful.

There is no reason to treat them religiously unless you have a flea problem. I have dogs and 1 outdoor/indoor cat as well as 3 housecats, I work in a vets where my dogs accompany me etc, and I only treat my lot approx twice per year.

PS I really dont know what else to do with the fence it's about 8ft at the back and he still manages to get over it, he's like a flying squirrel lol

You need to treat them all CC

The fact that they all go outside means they all need treating.
Even if Harry was the only one going out he would bring the fleas in and they would then jump on the other cats

Right seems so Harry is the only one to get out of my Ted, Ollie and Macey proofed garden I thought to deflea them all at first then just do Harry every month, would this stop him bringing fleas back to the house? The problem with the cat proofed fence will be getting sorted once my OH gets his but into gear. 

PS I really dont know what else to do with the fence it's about 8ft at the back and he still manages to get over it, he's like a flying squirrel lol
