And just to finish this story off with an extra dollop of happy ending...  ;D

The lady who originally was trying to help this little old boy and asked her friend Georgina (on the Our Cats board) to see if she could lend a hand to save him is now going to home two (and possibly three) needy kitties herself through one of the contacts she made during this appeal.

How good is that?  :happy dance:

Needless to say, the folks on the Our Cats board were very impressed with the Purrs rescue network and were amazed that things happened as quickly as they did. They're thanking me, but I can't take the credit - that goes to everyone else.  :thanks:

If this is Preston in Dorset, then please try Margaret Green too.  They are very close to Preston.  They may be able to help out in the interim.

Fingers crossed for the little lad.

This is sounding hopeful, I've pm'd Witty & she will let me know location, but mine's a long shot really... I'd snap him up myself if I had room, sounds like our ideal cat!

I've had a phone call from Helen from The SouthWest Animal Protection and she is going to put a plea out and try and sort a fosterer out for this little one.  Ideally we could do with a contact number if one can be sorted.   Witty, I've forwarded the email address you gave to me but if a number can be sorted out, that would be great and we can maybe get something sorted a bit quicker

Poor boy. I note she says RSPCA and CP won't take him as he's too old - have they actually tried CP? - If it was our branch, age wouldn't make any difference and it shouldn't for any branch AFAIK  :(

No worries Gill, sadly I can't promise anything but we'll wait and see.  It's a shame he's not closer, I may have been able to get him in somewhere down this end or at a push sorted a cage out for him  :(
