Yes but I wasnt really happy about using the Serene UM....will get a sedative off the vet for next time  :sneaky:

Could'nt agree more about keeping the child in check.....sorry to say that's a future brat in the making and it is definately down to the mother and the father  >:(

aw she looks lovely, so nice to hear she is settling in well also!
it always makes me sad to hear of people rehoming their so called family pet because of a baby! my son has grown up around animals, he has respect for them and im proud of him for being so good around them all! i now have 6 dogs, 2 cats ,rabbit, hamster and fish, he helps take care of all of them, from feeding the fish to brushing the cats and dogs! he is now 7, and loves out new kitten dot to peices, sad thing for me is a lot of rescues wont consider me as i am a multi pet household, and because i have harry also, AND to make things even worse....i do the awful thing called 'work' to keep my furbabes in the life they are accustomed to!

I was so proud of my grandson who is nearly 5.  He came over about a week after we got our 2 and they were very nervous, but he was so good with them that Ollie let himself be stroked.  It shows you can (and always should) teach children to respect all animals.

Oh yes the "parents" too. The parents are often nothing more then children themselves who only have kids to get a flat.  Its a losing battle as the chavs outbreed the normal people  :(

Its todays society, the kids dont respect their parents so why be nice to the family pet  >:(

I had imagined her to be black and white  :innocent: did you manage to get her clwas done?

and if the parents don't teach the kids respect for the family pet they can not expect to receive it themselves, sorry but the parents are as much to blame as the kids .. what sort of a message do you send you kid - be cruel to the pet and if it bites you we will just throw it away and get a better one??!!

Welcome Ted  :welcome:  She's gorgeous  :Luv:  I can't understand how anyone can get rid of a cat they've had for 15 years.  Nothing on earth would part me from my Jaffa.  If their toddler wouldn't leave Ted alone then they are doing something wrong and just needed to instill a bit of discipline!  And give Ted a safe place to retreat to.

That's OK, give em another 15 years and they will realise they put the wrong one to sleep

I hate those kind of stories, why can't they just control their kid - the majority of my oldies just hide when kids come round!!

She is settling in nicely now....was told that she was a cat that would not sit near you often etc......well although she has'nt sat on my knee yet she lays next to me purring away, giving me head butts.....Im so glad as I kept feeling awful for her as she lived with her owner for almost 15 yrs....she is nearly 15  :wow:

When the owners got her...well this is how They told me the story....

Just moving into her new house she gets a visit from a friend, in convo she mentioned to her pal that she would,nt mind a kitten or two when she gets sorted.....two weeks later pal turns up with kitten.

She had mentioned that she wqnted two which she would call "Bill & Ted" hence Ted was named not knowing the sex  A few weeks later the friend brought another kitten to which they knew was a girl so called her appropriately a girls name, Ted sticking to Ted as they did'nt think it fair to change incase of conusion (on who's behalf I wonder)

To cut the story short they had a baby approx 14 months ago and the toddler would not leave Ted alone and they were afraid of the child getting a swipe (Id of given him a swipe alright  >:() so basically they have rehomed Ted to me as no-one was inerested in her cos of her age and they had even contemplated PTS  >:(

So the lovely "Teddie" that's what we call her is here with me  :Luv2:

She's lovely. I don't look in this section that often so missed her. Well done for taking on a mature lady  :naughty:
