Ruth - that is my worry now... we shall see  :shify: I can see me doing a PAH run tomorrow now when they turn their noses up at their normal stuff  :evillaugh:

Dawn - it is my pleasure - I really love having him here, I just wish our cats thought the same! It is quite amusing when he is out of his room plodding around and they hiss and he just sniffs them and walks off - its as if he doesnt notice at all  :evillaugh: he is just like one of our own for as long as it takes until he finds a forever home  :Luv2: it is just a shame he has to be mostly in the spare room as I don't want ours getting too stressed out about it. Lucas doesn't know the meaning of the word stressed  :rofl:

I would love it if I could use expensive foods for treats......well that was my general idea....even my ex feral turns his nose up at "normal" cat foods and well you just cant let em starve can ya   :tired:

Not sure discovering is a strong enough word Susanne :rofl:

He licked the plate clean (thought the design was going to start coming off  :evillaugh: ) , then licked the kitty food fork clean and started trying to lick the carpet where he had knocked some of the food off so I had to go get him some more then of course  :rofl:

Ruth, good idea :ok: I think I will definitely buy them some of these foods now as a treat - it was lovely to see their little faces light up when I opened another tin of Applaws  :Luv:

Dawn - I just thought, Phil will get that "look" again now if he tries to feed him anything thats not "the good stuff"  :rofl: :rofl:

I guess if you use this as treat food (which is actually good for them) then they'll appreciate it more.

I think Lucas is getting to be a rather picky cat where food is concerned...

When he first came he would eat anything and everything, I was worried he would make himself sick because he ate so fast whenever food was put down for him. Then he decided not to eat so much and we assumed it was because he now realises that he can leave it and come back and it wont disappear because its his and he will always have regular food :ahh:

We tried him on all sorts, pouches, biccies, tins, (and of course the favoured Cat Milk!) and he still picked at it a bit - I was feeling a bit worried but he wasn't acting any different and he WAS eating just not as much...

Well... we got home from the Supreme today and I was dying to get out all the food we bought and have a little taste panel with the cats (I know.. sad eh?)  :evillaugh: and I gave them all 1/2 a tin of applaws and it was hoovered - Lucas ate his even quicker than chief munchers Doc and Gerti! He practically inhaled it!  :rofl: then we had Science Plan pouches - our three had a pouch between them and then I got one of the kitten Science Plan ones and gave it to Lucas - well apparently I wasn't quite quick enough at the pouch-to-bowl transfer so he was hoovering and then trying to paw in the pouch  :rofl:

So far he has had two of those pouches as well as the 1/2 tin of Applaws! Trust him to like the expensive foods that meowmy can't really afford  :rofl:

Sorry this is a bit random but I just found it really amusing - he is going to turn his nose up at regular food now he has had the good stuff - I can imagine being like Mark and having a whole cupboard full of all different foods and having to keep opening all sorts before he will eat  :evillaugh:
