What bothers me is that it makes it common knowledge with the sick type of people who would try it for a laugh  >:( :(

But why has it taken so long for it to become 'news'? too many cats have died already.

I saw this on telly this morning and the vet was holding the most gorgeous cuddle lump of a cat - red pointed siamese , he was just adorable (he hadnt been a victim just making a publicity debut appearence)  :Luv:

intelligence and education should never be confused with each other.... I know a large number of educated people who can be pretty dumb. And a lot of people who have enjoyed fewer educational opportunities who are a lot smarter.

The article was also in the evening standard and Metro so hopefull will have crossed a broad cross section of the community.

On BBC News channel, a repeated feature on the dangers, including showing a vet who sees several cats a week in a terrible way as a result, he says a lot can't be saved.
Not often I'd say this but makes me slightly less annoyed about paying them a licence fee.
Given that even intelligent people ( well maybe not intelligent but the BBC News demographic ) don't know not to do this, let's hope it saves a few cats from an agonising death.
