To add a profile pic you need to go to your profile and select 'upload an avatar' then choose the pic you'd like using the 'browse' button.

This link should take you to your own profile...

You can only choose one pic as your profile pic though, do you have a nice one of them together?

Which section do we post pictures in? Or do we just put them in section when we comment on a thread!

You need to resize it to about 650 on longest side.

If you need a freebie programme to do this look for irfan view, its very good  ;D

My photo of Smudge is apparently too big.  How do I make it smaller?

I found that when I was uploading a photo it didn't actually appear until I posted it so if you're adding an image and it doesn't come up immediately, don't worry, it will probably appear when you post it!  :thanks:

Just wondering if some  one could make this a sticky as peeps seem to be having trouble!  ;)

Any problems regarding posting photo's then follow below!  ;)

you can download this link for free....
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/download-image-resizer.php  This will make your pics smaller if you use the "attach" lable...make sure you "save as" to keep your original piccie the same size!

Or open an account with photobucket (free).....

www.photobucket.com < click on this....upload your pics, click on photo you just uploaded  then copy the IMG code (4th code on the right by your uploaded pic) then paste it to the main body of your text when you are typing out your post! Hope that helps   :)

If you don't want to register with photobucket eg sign up with email/password etc then you can use http://tinypic.com/ - no registration or log in required.

You click 'browse' just like you would if you were uploading a pic to Purrs, select your pic then click the big green 'upload now' button. Once your pic is uploaded there's a list of links and you just copy and paste the 'IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards' one - you can leave the size as default or select the 'message board' or '15" screen' one.

Then you can write your post eg

Hi It's Carol

Here's Bunty in the garden

[paste code in of your picture]

Biggles eating a vole

[paste code in of your picture]

When you click post the code will display as a photo instead of the link - Simples

The advantage of photobucket (need to register/log in) over Tinypic (no need to register/log in) is that a) your pics are saved in a private album b) you can upload more than one pic at once and c) you don't need to enter the anti-spam on each upload.
