local anaesthetic injection, thoracic drain placement, thoracic canula, three way tap, 3x sevoflo anaesthesia, atropine injection 2x adrenaline injection.

I don't know what half of this is for but i know they did loads for kitty bless her.

The reason why they hadn't billed me everything is because they knew i was claiming of insurance plus kitty had only died 15 minutes before we went down the vets so they didnt get a chance to do it all.

I hope argos pay out quickly  ;D

I got this sorted out this morning  ;D

The vets arent trying to con argos out of money,
When i was given my invoice they had only billed me for the consultation fee, radiographic interpertation, xray and cardiac ultrasound examination but now that they are claiming of argos they have inluded everything and it all comes too £348

Yes as we pay for it in the long run in premiums  >:(
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Maybe they are trying to get your £50 excess back?

Some vets make a charge for insurance claims - I think one of ours charges £20.00 - £50 sounds excessive.

I know some policies pay you £100 for loss of a pet. Nothing comapred to the real loss but worth having.

Isnt there an invoice attached? My vets print off a list of all visits and treatment so the company can see whats been done. Would have thought Argos would like the same  :-:

confused about vets and insurance claim
« Reply #1 on: November 01, 2007, 15:37:18 PM »
As most of you know kitty died just over 2 weeks ago and im trying to make a claim of argos,

I gave the vets the claim form and they sent it off to argos i got a letter back today with the claim form enclosed because the vets had forgotten to put there address on there (a bit stupid considering argos are going to pay them directly).

Anyway on the reciept i was given it says £213.56 outstanding balance £163.56  (i paid them the £50 excess)
But on the invoice that was enclosed with the claims form it says £298.01 and on the actual claims form it says £348, Does anyone know why this may be? I gave the vets a call but the women who deals with insurance claims isnt there today.

To me it sounds as though the vets are trying to con argos out of some money but i may be wrong

Anyone got any better ideas?

 :thanks:
