This gorgeous boy has now gone to his new home.  His new "daddy" hadn't actually met him til today and he's absolutely smitten  :Luv:  :Luv:  He said he is the spit of another they had a few years ago called Sky and he's sure he'll be able to get lots of cuddles out of him and of course some cat talk  :evillaugh:  I'm sooo chuffed for him, he is such a darling and deserves to have somewhere he can call home at long last  :)

He'll be indoor/outdoor, the ferals will be mainly outdoor but they're quite happy for them to venture inside if that's what they want.

I've been to do a homecheck today at some stables, the lady has 3 cats already and was after another 2 or 3 to keep the rodent problem under control.   There's plenty of land, barns and stables for them to explore in which is perfect.  She's having a couple of semi ferals off me, possibly more when they've settled and she's fallen in love with this little lad as well  ;D  He will be going to his new home tomorrow and then I'll have to sort out the ferals for her  :)  I mentioned about Abigail as well and she wants me to let her know when she's had her babies as she's wants a couple of indoor kitties as well

but does he "have" to be tested and then subjected to a life indoors ?

I don't normally test them for FIV/FeLV unless I am concerned or they are ill, the fact the vet nurse has mentioned it, I think for peace of mind I'll get him done.  I would point out that I've had quite a few tested over the years and Lucas is the only one I've had in that tested positive and regardless of the outcome, he will be found a fab home  :Luv:

The vet nurse has suggested getting an FIV test on him as she said they tend to have a paler appearance than "normal" cats and she thinks he has the look  :-:  He'll be getting tested when he's a little more settled.

Ah bless he is sooooo sweet -

Here's some piccies of the gorgeous little man  :Luv:  :Luv:  He was a little bit of a grump in the vets this morning but I'm sure he'll settle down.  He's got a cauliflower ear but I think this adds to his character.  The vet nurse has suggested getting an FIV test on him as she said they tend to have a paler appearance than "normal" cats and she thinks he has the look  :-:  He'll be getting tested when he's a little more settled.

This little man also needs a nice name so can you get your thinking caps on please  ;)

For the last few weeks I've been mithered to death about taking on a grey/white stray that's been roaming the area.  He was being fed by a few people but with winter coming up, a lady was getting a little concerned about where he'd sleep.  He is about 5 years old and unneutered but certainly a well fed chunky lad  :Luv:  :Luv:  I was a bit loathed to take him initially due to lack of space being one but also the fact a few peeps thought he did have an owner. Anyway, it turns out after a few days of enquiries, he's been a stray from a kitten and has just got food where he can and also fathered a few litters along the way.  I caught him yesterday, he is quite friendly but also a little nervous which is to be expected.  He's in the vets this morning for a nut chop, jabs and microchipping.  I will take some piccies of him later when he's recovered.
