Well Done Everyone concerned  ;)

I too cannot understand someone not wanting their pet anymore, a pet is for life and when you get one you have the responsability to look after it! There should be a trust between owner and pet!  these types of people make me  :censored:

How can you not want your cat any more??????

It's not item of clothing you just dis-regard. These people make me  they are pure evil.

She has such beautiful green eyes, and that beautiful black silky coat  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: I must ban myself from reading the rehoming pages it upsets me something terrible. There is a thread a bit higher up, I read the title and that is it, I couldn't bring myself to open it. Even the title is beating up my mind. what sort of world do we live in.

These cats will have their day. I know when we go to the bridge to collect our babies we will collect these babies too and take them as our own.

I am thrilled this babe will find a loving home.

It is great news. Spoke to the vets this morning, and Bella is fine. A home is not secured, but there is an interested party which I believe is the one DD is referring to. If it falls through, they have my number.

UPDATE

SWAP team put out an appeal today for Bella the cat in Enfield who was due to be put to sleep if she was not collected by tomorrow. We have just been informed by Trudie who was dealing with the rescue that the cat is now safe and has been offered a home by someone who is connected with the veterinary practice that she is in at the moment.

My brother lives in Enfield and although I wasnt planning on visiting him just at the moment, I could help transport her from enfield onwards if that would help but I would need tiime to contact him and the onwards would have to be sorta on my route home which is M25 and M4 to Wales.

This sweetie is fine for now. She's apparently still in hospital.

The VN didn't know much about whether she actually did have a home, but they were shocked that an appeal had found her so quickly  :Luv:

I will call the branch she is registered with. JS and I both have the number now, and I will do that at 9am tomorrow when they open. I want to know what her homing situation is like.

Worst case ladies, Lexy may have to make room for a short while and be disgruntled that another moggie is in the house. At least she won't have a naughty bengly to deal with. This little girl is as timid as they come. Needs a lot of love.

My heart has stopped racing. Was getting so worried they were going to do the deed before we had a chance to get to her.

Edited to add that the VN is going to call them and leave an email for them as well so that they know Bella has a chance.

Ruth, we'd take her in temporarily. But we're MILES away from Enfield. However, I think this part in DDs post is important:

they have somewhere for her but no one to collect and she has to be collected immediately.

Can anyone help? We can get back in touch with the person who has Bella, and find out where the permanent home is. then it's a matter of organising a transport chain if people on here and other forums are up for it.

It all made me pretty angry. My partner had just walked back in after I'd read it and I said "how would you feel about me fostering a cat?" he said "how long for?" I said "I don't know" and then let him read that. He responded by saying "sick b :censored:ds" and that it was absolutely fine!

EDIT: The ad I was given a link to was London G**t**e (hehe! No names mentioned here!) so I'm assuming somewhere in that area.

This was on another animal forum I visit:

Her name is Bella, she is a healthy black short hair cat, 8 years old, very friendly and shy. Her owner decided she doesn't want her any more and
brought her to the veterinary practice. They wanted to put her to sleep, but we persuaded them to leave her here during the weekend. In the
meantime, we are looking for a new home. Her owner doesn't want to leave her in a protection shelter so if by monday we don't have a new
home, her owner really wants to put her to sleep. I know this is not fair so if you are interested or know somebody who may be interested please
get in touch as soon as possible!

 thank you so much"

Can anyone help? I've emailed offering to foster her until such a time as I can find her a permanent home, but I'm miles away.

Sorry but that made my blood boil.   :censored: :censored:
