I went to Tesco after work today and they didnt have any of these

It was a big Tesco Extra too. Manchester is usually the last place on the planet to get something new so we might have them in time for xmas

Any one tried the tesco supreme pouches ? they go down very well with mine prefers them to felix or wiskas, high life 20p for single ones cheaper for muti boxes

I darent add up what i spend per week on food. Luckily my lot are prone to being porkers so i probably feed half of what the packets say.
Bozita and natures menu are not far off common price now

4 a day = £15 a week + his meds + vet bills. Its just as well we love him to bits

Kylies prescription food is £15 for 2kg and lasts over a month

Willows Science Plan lasts about 3 weeks but thats only because the hedgehogs have more of it than her

but Sheba is rubbish at 38p

I will have to ask my Tesco about that one as ours only had lamb. Maybe they are just trialling it to see how many of us are silly enough to may that much for catfood

Failing that, I will do a online shop but I don't like the idea of that.

btw - he scoffed a tray so quickly, he is lying next to me with hiccups

yep, little foil trays with natural on the front and a tiny cats head, they only had turkey and rice so I didn't have any choice but I'll trying anything once - the m&s might be worth a try as well

They have a wet turkey & rice? - my tesco only had the lamb one - I don't eat lamb myself but have to forget my principles for the cats - if I can get the turkey one, that would be even better as he loves turkey and its lower phosphorus (better for CRF)

Actually its higher than 60% meat as it says Meat & animal derivatives including min 60% lamb.

The thing is I have to throw so much food away but this actually gets eaten so probably works out the same money but better quality food ( hope at that price)

M&S do a nice food in gravy. Don't know whether it's new or not (I don't look at pet food in there often). They do 2 flavours - chicken with vegetables and turkey & duck (or something like that). The chicken is in small pieces rather than shredded and it's 50% meat. went down well with my 2.

Maybe if it proves popular they will bring out a cheaper multipack? You can live in hope! they must think it is going down a storm the rate you are buying them

I got the turkey and rice one today, (along with the Vicky Hall book, Mark you are spending all my money!!) not sure how well it will go down because they are gourmet pearl addicts but I would love them to eat something with actual meat in it!

So far, so good. He slept on tebed last night which is a sign that he feels OK. As soon as I got up, he demanded breakfast and wasn't going to be fobbed off with any old rubbish - this is going to cost £20 a week

This saved me today. I only bought 2 the other day to try but Clapton had a bad day today and didn't leave the sofa or want to eat all day until 6pm. I gave him a Tesco in jelly pouch which he wouldn't touch, then a sheba tray which he licked twice. I went to Tesco and cleared the shelf of the lamb one. I went to give it to him and he was trying to scoff it while I was cutting it up - he cleared the plate and sat looking at the empty bowl so I gave him another one which he finished as well

- I know its expensive but if it gets him eating, so what?

I noticed they have a dry version of this new "Natural" food.

Chicken & Vegetable. Salmon & Vegetable, senior chicken & vegetable they are 30% meat or fish and other natural ingredients. Fat content is quite high at 20.7% for all kinds - so will be good for willow if she will eat it.

375 gram bags

Regular is £1.59
Senior is £1.79

If anyone wants the ingredient list, I will post.

Yes its complete.

Ingredients. Meat & animal derivatives (min 60% lamb), Cereals (min 4% rice), Safflower oil (min 0.5%).

Wheat free, dairy free, no artificial colourings or preservatives..

I gave him the other tray tonight and he ate like he had 30 seconds before I took the bowl away. I would recommend people to try this is their cat is being picky rather than a/d which has liver

I think I will give him 2 a day with something else - not sure what - he is quite keen on Whiskas duck & chicken in gravy today and won't touch the Tesco pouches he has been on for months

A bit more expensive than Sheba but much better quality nutrition.

I will try some other good foods with rice as they only do one flavour in this - any ideas anyone (he won't touch applaws or those stringy chicken type foods)

I saw some new own brand foil trays in Tesco today - "Pate rich in Lamb with rice" there was no price but we picked up a couple as need a "Pick n mix" for clapton to keep him eating. anyway, its 60% lamb with rice, no wheat or dairy. it was 53p a tray compared to their regular 20p a tray! - He ate every scrap so maybe its money well-spent. I am frightened to bulk-buy in case he goes off it next week
