My policy says £200 (i think) for complementary treatments which i think it would be classed as so im hopefully they will pay out.

Does she eat wet food? Lola just has it sprinkled in her food and hasnt noticed yet.
Other idea is to mix in a small amount of hairball malt and smear over her leg, she has to wash it then  :evillaugh:
If you try the wipe technique do it thinly or they flick it off up the walls  :tired:
:luck:

You are a genius  :wow: Millys Mum: I just mixed the Cosequin into a small amount of Primula and smeared it on Blips front legs.  As I type, she is eating every last grain as she cleans herself.  She has her back turned to me, mind.  She wont eat her wet food with any sort of medication stirred into it, so this may be the answer I have been looking for  ;)

I will check our policy too,  :thanks:

Christine does your insurance cover the cosequin?

Now, thats an interesting question, but at the moment purely hypothetical as I havent found a delivery mechanism yet  :tired:  I am determined though, as I know how much it will help Blip

couldn't agree more. We had labs when I was growing up = chummy one and two, as well as the odd bitzer, but the labs win hands down for companionship. He is a great 'leaner' and has been known to push people off the steps cos he is leaning on them so heavily  The postman adores him and so too do the fast-food delivery people when they meet him. He gets stopped by little old ladies in the street for a pet, absolutely the best dog on the planet in my opinion  :Luv:- and very well-travelled too

My 3 are definitely the Dyson kind  :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

My yellow lab lays down to eat iin my opinion they are the best breed for everything (apart from having cabbage pants bottoms) a good room clearer though  :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky:

Aww bless your little beauty in the picture

despite being a labrador Cross, Shadow is actually quite a fussy eater in many ways. I filled his food bowl about an hour ago and he is just lying there guarding it... :Luv:

Dogs are less fussy tho arnt they!
Iv decided on Cosequin it works out a few pence more per dose than Seraquin but has an extra ingredient. And it has been tested and trialled in uni's.

Lola has been after Tazs metacam, my cat is a junkie

shadow is on noractive at present but about to change back to Sasha's Blend (which is a dog formula). But the noractive does not smell as fishy nice as Sasha's blend. He is happy to eat it sprinkled on his dry food though.

It tasted really nice like when I have just had a kiss from one of my horses after she has taken a mouthful of her feed and its all stuck round her muzzle lol     absobloodylueltydisgusting .

No they are ok actually they really dont seem to mind them as they arent massive. I wouldnt use anything now other than cortaflex the HA is the stronger one and the better of the two for the initial month loading dose then the normal cortaflex. The results are amazing

Back to my Cortaflex sandwich
      :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I have Seraquin for Buddie.  I crush it and mix it into a bit of cream cheese.  Buds gets all excited when I get the tablets and the pestle and mortar out.
I haven't tried any of the others on your list.
Best wishes, Chris, Samson, Buddie and Pepper

Thanks SP, what does the pet one smell/taste like? I know some of the things i use to give the horses were vile

Im afraid im a bit of a weird MM as if I have to give it to the animals, I generally taste it first    the cortaflex powder gets disgused with Garlic and biotin for the horses. The cats/dogs one has the usually coating my labs are really good with it, one of them actally enjoys being given it (simply because its edible lol)  :evillaugh: :evillaugh: I have noticed a great difference just be wary of the ebay sellers as its not always what they say.......not sure if VET UK sell it though

good luck

xx

Hi MM I did have my dogs on Synoquin but after speaking to my equine and fur babe vet they both said there is no better supplememnt for them that Cortaflex and its a natural remedy. I also have in the past 3 months started to get it for my 87 year old wonderful uncle. The difference in his mobility is unbelieveable

Good luck with what you decide

Is it palatable? Lola is a piggy and as long as its not bitter would probably eat it. I could pill her everyday but she would soon tire of that so i would prefer a non obtrusive way.

I am waging a battle of wills with Blip at the moment to get her to take Cosequin.  She is winning so far   :tired:

Any opinions on which is the best?

Vet uk sell Seraquin, Cosequin, Corta Flex, Corta Vet, Glyco Flex and Noractive so it would be one of those as its easy to order from them.
They all seem about the same in ingredients but im wondering about taste  :scared: :scared:

 :thanks:
