aww thanks peeps, she has a suspected fracture :( i still have no clue how she has done it.

but shes being xrayed on monday, she goes in again tomorrow to have another checkup and possibly another pain injection.

todays visit £30
tomorrows £30
monday possible xray £150  :tired:

but hey i really dont care as long as shes well.

they said if it is a fracture she has to stay in and have cage rest they cant bandage it to support it incase it heals funny :-: so for now shes in the spare room where she cant jump about etc lucky for me its where the computer is so i might spend all night here. :evillaugh:

I wouldn't call the vet - if it has to be done, it has to be done, regardless of the price (it won't be a huge amount)

was she outside in that time, is there anything in the house that she could have broken it on? Does she have any old injuries that could be playing up. will she let you check her leg over. My bronte had gotten a little skin infection a few months just above her paw and because it was on the spot that she licks to clean her face she was irritating it. She only had it a couple of weeks and cleared up really quickly with a course of antibiotics but she was a bit lame and would not let me anywhere near her leg. It is hard not to but try not to panic and wait to see what the vet says. I hope all is ok with her. Vet charges vary so much from vet to vet never mind region that it is hard to advise re price. Perhaps call your vet and ask how much they charge for x-rays if one is needed. Good luck and please post update.

Poor jasper  :'(

The vet will have an idea if something is broken before x-raying. I don't know how much it costs but probably £30 - £50 + consult + pain relief. Could be £80 - £100 at a guess - thats without treatment obviously.

Hopefully when the vet checks, they will find its bruising or a sprain.

I woke up this morning and went for a wee to be greeted by Jasper my youngest, who on closer inspection was hobbling full on hobbling and not putting any weight onto her front left leg :( so i picked her up and only slightly touched it and she yelped big time! :'( :'( :'(

i rang the otherhalf and he said she was fine this morning so somewhere between the hours of 8 and 10 she has done this.

so i have rang the vet and shes booked in this afternoon, i really do think it might be broken, and the worse thing is, my pet insurance got sent off the other day  :tired: so i dont have a leg to stand on with this bill!

how much do you reckon its gonna be for an xray? etc
