how to put pics on line so as soon as I've got the idea I'll try tho it will prob be to pair of eyes peeing up from behind   tv. ;)

Haha, I've got the same problem at the moment - can't get a decent picture of my new girl, cos she's wedged between the wardrobe and the wall  :Luv:  I'm sure your two will settle in once they know the routine and realise they are safe and sound  :Luv:

They have now decided that behind the TV is the best place to be, but this morning Oliver came out far enough to scoff a big bowl of food.  Portia is very unsure of it all but did eat a bowl of food when we put it behind TV.  I think she will take quite a while to come round as she is terribly nervous - goodness know what she's been through.  I am waiting for my son-in-law to come back off holiday to show me how to put pics on line so as soon as I've got the idea I'll try tho it will prob be to pair of eyes peeing up from behind   tv. ;)

Ooh, how exciting!  ;D  I'm sure they'll come around given time, and realise that they've landed on their feet this time.  Definitely need pics asap!

We look forward to seeing Oliver and Portia when you have a chance but I love cats that cuddle up together to sleep, so they hopefully will settle in quite quick as they have each other and learn that their new home is safe and they are loved  ;D

:welcome: to Purrs Oliver & Portia :)  I'm sure they'll settle in in no time, if they are a little bit shy then best to wait for them to come to you.  There's lots of useful advice in these links...

Would be great to have a pic or two once they've settled in  ;D

Well done :Flowers: - I'm sure they'll both have a fantastic home with you  :)

Names....we need to know names!

With my lot, the main thing I found was to give them space and take things slowly - let them approach you. I hope everything goes fantastically well for you

Oh, and don't forget the photo's

Hi everybody.  Just to say thanks for the war welcoe and to let you know I am now slave to 2 beautiful all-black cats one male and one female.  They are brother & sister from a not very good home via Cat Protection.  Thet're very timid at the moment with having left their previous home, been neutered and then faced with me!  At present the prefer the large space behind the TV and are lying there cuddled up together.  I notice Oliver is fast asleep (typical male!) but Portia hasn't missed a thing.  Our greyhound walked past Portia while she was (briefly) on my knee, sniffed vaguely at her and wandered off as much as to say "Well, that cat free household didn't last very long."  I hope they settle in soon and are able to get over their nervousness.  Any tips? :thanks:
