But one has been in care for much longer than the other. Also you will notice that Ming once he knows you will reward you with affection. Sadly the same cannot be said for Minge the whinge. Although I must say that both are equally loved by their fosterers.

When we put pics in the paper, every time at least 2 or 3 people claim the same cat as their missing cat. Never have any of the cats belonged to the people who swore blind they were their cats.

Its funny as they both have a white patch on their face in the same area - also look similar  ;D

Yes, I would have thought Ming and Minge are the same cat. Both have identical white markings in their upper lips, both belonged to people going into retirement homes, and both are described as grumpy...  :shy:

Minge and Ming are two different cats with different fosterers. Sadly Ming has been in care for a few months where are Minge is a recent addition.

Lol that is a brilliant description!

We are always truthful. there is no point in being anything other as the truth will come out once re-homed and then possibly the cat will need to come back.

We do get quite a few cats who are the 'they who must be obeyed type'  eventually all find homes.

I let the fosterers chose the names off cats if they do not have one already. In this case that must have been his name as he did have an owner. Perhapos his name should have been Whinge

Minge  is the worlds most miserable cat, he is Victor Meldrew of the cat world.  He is looking for an owner who is equally as miserable so they can share this passion and sit in front of a fire and be miserable together. Minge is an old chap who was not welcome in his owners retirement home as he may have added to their misery with his long face.  If misery was an Olympic game Minge would win  the gold medal.  He is completely mute unless his feed bowl is left empty!

It was that line that killed me

I once knew a dog called "midge" that is much nicer i think and very similar so i'm sure his grumpiness wouldnt even notice the change.

that said i've know some animals, cats esp with down right stupid names..of course i cant think of them off the top of my head just now but they were the ones where you'd look like an absolute plonker when shouting out the back door for your furbabe at night.

The cat that lives next door to my dad is called "Muff". Highly amusing when the guy is calling his cat in at night and if it doesn't come in reasonably quickly he asks "Have you seen my Muff?" I'm sooo childish at times. I think there should be a ban on awful names for pets.
