As to the cat, the sooner it is found and placed in a more responsible household, the better.

I am saying nothing about that all I will say is I can tell by how she spoke to me that had she asked us for a cat even if she had asked for indoor, we would not have any suitable for her situation.

there is unfortunately a fairly large proportion of the population who would rather believe that anyone other than themselves is responsible for their misfortunes. I wouldn't waste any more time worrying about it. She was responsible for the cat's well-being and has failed to shoulder that responsibility. It is not your fault. As to the cat, the sooner it is found and placed in a more responsible household, the better.

A lady has just rung me and asked if we took a cat in over the weekend. (we should be so lucky to have a space).

I advised her all she needs to do to try to get it back, I then said where do you live, she told me and it is an area what if we were homing we would prefer to home indoor only, so I said hopefully you will get you cat back and then I would suggest that you try to keep it indoors as we would only home indoor in your area. She then said well it is your fault that I let it out as you didn't tell me this when you paid for my cat to be neutered. I replied that I cannot be responsible for all cats in the area that have been adopted from elsewhere. When people ask for a voucher some are irate as it is  about the number of questions I ask, you know unimportant things  like name, address  so I can send voucher and the sex of the cat so they get the right amount of money. So then to start questioning if it is indoor/outdoor most would slam the phone down and then perhaps the cat would not get 'done' at all. Or they may think as it has to stay indoors it need not be 'done' which we all know is nonsense and then I would have to spend more time explaining those reasons also.

My goodness it is not yet 8 30 a.m what else has the day in store for me?
