found the little boys owner, wasn't far from where i found him, i telephoned her and shes happy he's back home, apparently he escaped from their garden, she posted a poster by her house so was easy to find out where he came from

Hi Lesley,
thanks for the information, i will go down to pampurred pets in gosport high street first thing tomorrow, and have a look, i might also go into Fareham pampurred pets as well, seems a good idea, and yes i understand there are some people that cannot sell there kittens on, but before i jump to that, i just want to look around see if anyone may of lost this little boy, i'm going to walk round the area where i found him, so i will see if there are anymore kittens about that may of run lose...just to make sure there are not any other kittens that are lost, i hate to think they have been abandoned but i know it happens, anyway hears hoping for some good news soon...

I shall update later of any news that comes forward

It might be worth looking in Pampurred Pets in the High Street and other shops to see if anyone is advertising kittens for sale in the area he was found.  I live in Gosport and have noticed quite a few ads advertising them lately.  There seems to be a glut of kittens in the area at the moment (am in the process of taking in seven people have not been able to "sell" after their cats got pregnant  )and it may be that someone has had a litter and not been able tore-home them and has just let them "wander off", so there may be others at risk as well.

Yes, i was thinking the same, my cat Alfie who is 5 months old, i only recently started letting him out a couple of weeks ago...i thought it was very strange to see such a small kitten wondering the streets, and as i said didn't want to leave him outside in the dark, and don't worry its okay  seems this little boy, doesn't mind my cat Alfie, they like playing together....but my best interests are to get this kitten back to his owner

Glad to hear it. If he is that small, then when you find the owners, a few short sharp words about responsible pet ownership would not go astray. He should not be outside until he has completed his shots (min ag 12 weeks) and ideally not until he is neutered and microchipped. sorry for being a little terse earlier, had not had my coffee yet

okay, yes didn't think of that, but he is very small so i don't think he has travelled far, he is a tabby kitten approx 5 weeks old, was walking around the road at dark, and i didn't want to leave him outside on his own, i'll be posting a found notice in my local shops, so fingers crossed the owner is found, i can assure you he is being well cared for, he has eaten and been drinking water fine, i have three cats of my own, so i really want to find his owner and nearly a year ago my sister lost her cat Bailey, so i can understand how upsetting the owners may be of losing this little boy

I'm in kent so no risk there. But if you refer to the section on finding the owner of a lost or stray cat or kitten you will find that having the details assists us all incredibly in being able to help. The owners may have already contacted one of the rescues here, and we can not help you find those people if you do not provide helpful information. None of us is a cat-snatcher unless we consider the animal to be in an extreme risk situation.

we didn't put down the detials of the kitten as we thought if someone has generally lost this kitten, they will no what colour he is, we just want to make sure he gets back to his owner safely, and ensure that people are not pretending the kitten is theres, i don't mean to sound rude by that last comment, but if you have lost a kitten in the area, please contact me with the description of your kitten

found a little boy kitten, walking around the road at approx 8.30pm, looks as though he was lost, was meowing alot and hasn't got a collar, if you have lost a kitten in the area please contact me, i want this little boy to get back to his owner
