Lets hope she keeps her promises. Why the sudden change of tune?- call me suspicious but..........

Well the lady who owns lucky contacted me yesterday and said thank you for my help and for taking him to the vet and is going to pay back his vet bill to. She has also asked me if I could help rehome all the kittens in this new litter. And she phoned the cats protection to get the mother cat spayed as soon as she can. So looks like this one has a happy ending. Also Little lucky seemed alot brighter too.

I wonder if he's been chipped yet...? Pretty hard to claim ownership without them these days.  ;)

If he hasn't been chipped, get in there first! What is she going to do if all the paperwork is in your name? Legally, she'd be powerless!

Oh Kelly he looks lovely, how sad he's had to go back. I hope he's going to be ok and fingers crossed the RSPCA may help, or you can see him again and spirit him away.....

I'm afraid we had this situation recently with Carlos - left to fend for himself. We had to give him back too.  :(

One thing is for sure, though, if Carlos is seen booted out again, and he's in that same state of neglect, whoever picks him up won't be searching too hard for his owners.  :sneaky:

All you can do is be Lucky's guardian angel and watch for him on the streets. I wonder if he's been chipped yet...? Pretty hard to claim ownership without them these days.  ;)

All you can do really is monitor the situation I suppose.  Seeing as this women allowed Lucky out of the house once before I'm sure she will have no qualms in letting him out again.  If she lives near you I would just keep an eye out for him and if he is seen wandering about I would kidnap him.

Hopefully the RSPCA will also follow up on her and ensure that Lucky gets the correct veterinary care.

I don't understand ... why wouldn't she take him to the vet.  Did you get an address of where this "owner" lives?

Had to give kitten back today . His name is lucky. He was really poorly so I took him to the vet and he has had injections and hes got special food and had to hand feed him and make sure that he drinks plenty and he was to go back to vet in two days time but if he got worse I was to bring him in and they would put him on a drip. The lady who was looking after him for his owner when she was on holiday came round yesterday to put him back in the house and said the reason he was out was because his owner has new born kittens.I told her that I wanted the kitten to be seen by a vet as he was quite poorly and she made me promise not to do anything until she had spoken with the owner so I waited and she came just before I was about to take kitten upto the vet and said that the owner wanted him back in the house now and that he was not to see a vet. I told the lady that I was taking him up the vet now and that if the owner didn't like it it was tough as the kitten needed treatment now. so anyway went to vet. phoned police, rspca etc and they all said I had to give him back. so when the lady came again I gave him to her. I just hope the owner does take him back to the vet poor baby.from what the lady said who was looking after him said was the owner probaly wouldn't get him treated and I made her promise to let me know if that kitten gets worse and if the owner doesn't treat him to let me know. I will call the rspca and let them know but fat lot of good they will probaly be.So now I am really worried about little lucky as well. :Sad Bye: :Sad Bye:

I've had Jumpy for 13 years and I still kid myself one day I'll find his owners and he's going back.  :evillaugh:

Like you could let him go now, anyway! ;)

:shoosh: As I tell the Jumpster repeatedly, if he doesn't stop turfing me out of bed he's going back to where he came from....  ;) :evillaugh:

This is exactly the story of how I came by my Jumpy and he was the same age. He was black with oil too!  :(

I gave up seriously trying to trace who may have 'owned him' after several months of earnest efforts locally. He must have come from somewhere as he was so tame and friendly. It's mindless to turf out a small kitten like that... absolutely mindless!  >:(

Aw poor baby, being left to fend for himself like that  :(

The way some people think amazes me sometimes, you wouldn't leave a toddler to fend for itself, so why a kitten grrrrrr

I just can't believe the attitude of some people. You shouldn't leave any animal to fend for themselves let alone a little one. I'd like to think that someone else is looking after the kitten and he escaped!?!

Little ginger Tabby kitten

Hi all was told about a little kitten that had been hanging around trying to get in neigbours houses for food and was now under a car and hadn't come out all day and no one could get it out. So laid down by the car and started making kisses noises and talking gently to it. Then this little black and ginger kitten comes out. Take it indoors give it a wash as its covered in oil to find its not black and ginger but a little ginger tabby male kitten about 13 weeks old. I have phoned local recsue and vet and put up add in local paper saying kitten found but no one has phoned yet.I have asked round to see if I can find out anything more about him and have been told that his owner has gone on holiday and left the poor thing to fend for its self. How could anyone do that?.If the owner does phone me I tell you I will want to know why this kitten was left outside on its own poor thing. He has settled in quite well with my lot and my red point ragdoll Raggles has given him alovely wash and has been looking after him as if he is his baby. I will try to get some photos later of the poor baby.
