I have just received the following email:

Subject: Archie has been found !!

Hi Sam,

Fantastic news !!.....Missing Archie is home !!

Just had a call from his owners (Tuesday 17.00 hours 4th Sept 2007).  Archie is sitting on his Mum's lap, he's lost lots of weight and has battle scars, but is otherwise fine.

The Blue Cross in Cambridge rang them to say a lady in Cambridge (about 2 - 3 miles from Archie's house) had  a  Siamese cat in her garden, (she had not seen any of the publicity about Archie being missing) which had been around sometime.   His owners rushed round and sure enough it was Archie, who, eventually went into a cat trap.

Thank you for all your help, suggestions and support, VERY much appreciated.

best wishes,

Barbara

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

I have been in contact with "Archies" owners after seeing their post on the National Pet Register.  They are naturally devasted by the loss of their furbabe and have asked if I could cross-post the information on here.

Archie is a chipped, neutered male Siamese cat, 2 years old, he is an indoor cat, but somehow got outside on a warm sunny Saturday, 4th August 2007. He is cream with brown points, ears feet etc. Has a distinctive deformed tail, it being shorter than usual, and blue eyes.

A large reward is offered for his safe return.
