If Sasa really feared you she would avoid you and she doesn't. She lets you live in her house, pander to her ever whim...that's a small sign of trust.
Thanks Ruth......and yes you are right she lets me live in her house and pander to her
I hope that one day she will come to me and rub round my legs or something.
Sasa came from CP along with Misa. They had never met before and I was lucky cos they got on almost from the first meeting.
I was told that Sasa was found with ferals and had had kittens. As she was 8yrs old when I took her on and she had been with Cp over a year, it makes one wonder what her history was.
She was rehomed twice before i took her but taken back both times cos she didnt work out..............I wasnt told the extent of her problems and she had been locked in a pen for over a year at cp and it had no run and it semi inside.
The Cp lady wouldnt touch her and I was told she sometimes nipped and the manager of the cattery put her into the carrier.
I think her situation was that she was reguarded as unhomeable so when I came along and seemed to get on with all the cats, even ones like Misa who was new to them and terrified and hiding, they were willing...................jumped at opprtunity
.........to give her to me , just to get her off their hands.
They said that I would be able to bring her round with patience!!
I was doing OK but after 3 months had to go back to London for a hospital appt and put Sasa and Misa in a cattery................it was not good it turned out and Sasa has never trusted me again. Up to then she would let me stroke her when she was on the stairs and two steps above me but I have never been able to get back to that point.
I made matters worse when she came home cos it was late October and I really wanted her and Misa in at night, so blocked off the flap although I didnt think she could use it still. She broke the flap open and ran away for a week and stayout in torrential rain and wind but on her return she was as clean as when she went, so she found a good place in a garden two houses up.
Cp said to stop calling and looking for her cos that would make her stay away and we couldnt use food as a bait cos of the rain and at that time would only eat biscuits. I created a shelter with biscuits in and also had some in another place but didnt know if she was eating them or ginger up the road.
Misa knew where she was and my neighbours said they saw the two of them together at night and thats how she came home, with Misa
