I see, sorry. Those type of people do exist all over the place, but I suppose the dog that killed Jasmine's owner is the typical example for having a dog to suit his hard man image. My neighbour told me, not much cos he was scared of 'incriminating' himself, that that man has been known to set dogs on cats. Ugh, I hate those type of people. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

ooops. sorry. Poor grammatical construction.

Please see quote above. It was not my intention to cause offence or in any way imply that people on council estates are any different from people in 'nice' neighbourhoods. On the contrary, I have known many very generous and likeable people who find themselves in supported accommodation. Similarly I have met some right sods in the 'nicest' of neighbourhoods.

Makes me mad when they try to ban certain types of dog just becuase they are big or look like they might be scary.

on a council estate it might be more the type of person who keeps that sort of breed that should be locked up - they go for them because of their reputation and the way they handle them does nothing to undermine that rep.

I live on a council estate and I don't think it's really fair to say that. There are low life people all over the place.

ooops. sorry. Poor grammatical construction. We were talking about Council estates ......... You're right. Some of the very worst neighbours I have had have been owner occupiers ..........

Dealing with the public as I do I can tell you that there is just as much low life living in private homes as on council estates. In fact there are perhaps more fur coat no knickers types  and thugs in private than council. Everyone I know who has the so called aggressive breeds lives in their own homes.

That's terrible. It isn't the case here as far as I'm aware. I know quite a few people in council houses with those breeds of dogs.

I've known Jack Russels that are far more vicious and nippy than Rottweilers! I absolutely adore Rotties and I have never met a nasty one yet. Makes me mad when they try to ban certain types of dog just becuase they are big or look like they might be scary.

GSD, So any sort of dog that cant be picked up is being picked on!

I wonder if the people that are carrying this out have these types of dogs themselves?

TAKEN FROM ANOTHER BOARD - HOW SAD IS THIS

Dublin County Council have decided that tenants in their housing who have a breed of dog on their banned list have to find new homes for the dogs or they will be be taken away and DESTROYED regardless. 11 breeds of dogs are on the list, dobermanns, rottweillers, staffies and GSDs are but 4. Please sign the petition below and pass it on to everyone that you know.

I know this seems unbelievable but it has ALREADY happened and who knows where it might lead.

Thank you
