I think he will stay with us but the lady at the rescue wanted to say 'long term foster' in case he develops health problems that may require lots of treatment - she didn't want me to officially adopt him as we don't know what his future health will be like and she said she couldn't put that unknown onto me. Of course, I will be contributing if there are any issues, but obviously insurance companies are v reluctant to touch him as he is so we will see how he copes as he gets older.
