That's correct Desley - we know that the vet that filled the form in does like to do ALOT of stuff (she likes tests it seems!) which is why our bill is probably higher than some other vets would for the same work (taking teeth out).
But we'll wait and see if Petplan will pay out.

Gill, with what she has put in brackets, i would guess that is to do with the FIV/FeLV/Calici test.

Ah, makes sense if they are doing tests as well - I have never paid more than £170 for a dental, and that included a lumpectomy at the same time, but I have generally had bloods done so recently they didn't need re-doing as pre-anaesthetic ones.

Jaffa's dental was over £400. He had pre-op bloods, iv drip etc. Nothing on the itemised invoice was particularly expensive - I think the anaesthetic was the most expensive itme - but it all adds up.

Have sent Suki's final claim form off to Sainsburys
- her total costs were nearly £975 - thankfully the vets agreed at the start to do a direct claim, we've paid the excess already so the vets are just due their money now.
Have also sent off the pre-claim form for Jasper's dental work due to gingivitus - that's around £513 - if Petplan agree to it then we're going to ask if the vet can do another direct claim.
