Glad she took her pills and hope she makes good progress
What would we do without webbox?!

I used those and also good girl catnip drops, I bought them in bulk on amazon as they were my failsafe pilling treat.

they're great because you can completely mould them round the pill

thank you.  Vet started her on the Vidalta as we didnt know what Silvie would be like taking pills, said if she takes them ok maybe swap to the Felimazole which is twice a day. Got a webbox stick, put the pill inside it, and Silvie went yum yum and ate it, no problem!  Hoping in a way she can go on Felimazole as my other cat is on them and is doing really well.  (she is 20, and has put on so much weight recently, she's the fattest out of the 3) :evillaugh:

I also had 2 HT boys, one was on vidalta at first, the other on felimazole.
We moved to felimazole for both as it was easier to tweak dosage, which you will know you have to do if the T4 creeps back up. It also seemed to work far better for my 2.
Felimazole is good because you can get a transdermal gel to rub in the ear if they get tricky with pills.
Jake had no issues on vidalta, I also heard scary stuff about it & was worried.
Did your vet give any reason for starting on vidalta rather than felimazole?

Sylvie my 10 year DSH cat has been eating non stop but not putting on weight. Thyroid tests in June this year were fine. Took her back to the vet yesterday for another blood test and her levels are 250!!! should be no higher than 55. My vet wants to initially try her on the one a day tablet (i think its Vidalta) and then if she takes them ok, prob go onto Felimazole, which my other cat Tabby is on. Going to pick up the meds tomorrow but I am sure I read somewhere that Vidalta can cause a lot of problems and some cats have died taking it? Be grateful for any advise ASAP please, thanks!! :thanks:
