And the good news is Bromley Cat Rescue have a couple who want 2 cats so it looks like they will be getting spayed/neutered and going straight to a new home

The ad doesnt sound like they are highly thought of but you can actually get toxoplasmosis from stroking a cat if they happened to have microscopic traces of faeces on their fur etc.
Having said that ive been around unwormed farm cats all my childhood, worked with vets since the age of 15 and wouldnt say i'm any more particular about cleanliness that the next clean person so when i demanded a toxo test when i was pregnant i was astounded by a negative result (many peeps have been exposed so have antibodies without knowing it)

in fact for anyone wishing to have children its far better to be exposed prior to pregnancy

Mind you i didnt go out of my way to infect myself before baby no 2..and as far as i am aware i am still negative.

They shouldnt have cats anyway !!!
Poor mite has already had a litter and she is only 1yr old and they are advertising her to be breed from again !

They must be under the misguided impression that toxiplasmosis is caught just by having cats! Most likely cause is undercooked meat.

A pregnant woman shouldn't change litter; other than that, cats pose no danger to babies, born or unborn.

A very cute, fluffy pure white male cat. We are having a baby and need to get rid. Also a tabby short haired girl. These cats are well trained, mannered and friendly. To go free to a good home both 1 year olds and able to have kittens already had 1 litter of pure white cats.
