Thanks Ela, I know it is a tricky one to call, just wondered how you went on with it.

Just out of interest, if you don't mind me asking!

Of course I don't mind you asking.

when you say pay for anything FIV related, what would that cover

Often dentals or mouth probs which FIV cats tend to suffer more from than others, also absolute any problem that the vet feels is FIV related and perhaps would not occur had the cat not been FIV. Sorry cannot be more specific than that. However we (me, as it is my decision) are pretty flexible as at least the FIV cats has a chance of a home and we have space for another.

Obviously not the routine vacc/flea/worm, or accidents
That is correct hopefully as they are homed as indoor there should not be much chance of an accident although I appreciate occasionally there are accidents in the home

This si really good news, even though I don't know thw whole story cos of my special interest in the FIV cats it's always good to know someone somewhere is taking them in too.

Just out of curiosity Ela - when you say pay for anything FIV related, what would that cover? Obviously not the routine vacc/flea/worm, or accidents, but is there a guideline for what would be classed as covered or not?

Just out of interest, if you don't mind me asking!

Hopefully they will kep the name?

I am sure Nichola will keep his name. She kept Sunny as a name for her last FIV. In any case as we pay vet bills for anything related to FIV Gershwin will be registered in that name.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I am pleased to tell you that we have homed Gershwin, last year a lady adopted a FIV cat named Sunny and now she has moved out into the countryside and into a larger house she thoughT she would adopt another one for company. Yippee
