Most vets say 6 months in the UK and prefer to perform the op when they are not in heat although I don't think it's a huge problem if they are in heat.  Our Milly and Ruby had their ops just before 6 months and I recall one of them was in heat.  Ruby I think. 

I certainly recall Milly being in heat from 5 months.  What a tart!  She wouldn't leave poor Fred alone    He didn't know where to look     Good job he was nutless

Yep 5 months! Touchwood Purdy isn't behaving the same way! Yes going to get them done sure my vet said 6 months, x

Yup that sounds about right.  She about 5 months now isn't she?   

Hope the inappropriate peeing has stopped    Are you planning on having them neutered?

Yes.  Both male and female cats spray.  What make you think she's in heat?

Was just wondering do girl cats spray? As just caught Poppy spraying and she seems like she's in heat(sorry if that's not the right term) but a mate said to me are you sure she's a girl! Vet never said she wasn't lol
