This petition is to urge the government in Belarus to release the thousands of stray cats it has sealed up in the underground sewers of cities like Minsk, their idea is that the cats will control the rats...! But the cats have NO food or water, and residents report hearing haunting cries from the starving cats   

Many residents are setting them free and feeding them, but there's still so many trapped. The government needs to realise this method will not control rodents - the cats will starve to death whilst rodents hide away from them, until the cats are so weak they cannot hunt, then when they have died the rats will increase again..... Please please please sign this petition to urge the government to stop being so cruel.
