Act now to prevent animal suffering at the Olympic Games!
Last week, acclaimed film director, Danny Boyle, announced that his vision for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games is an “idyllic” rural landscape which would include dozens of live animals being used as part of the scene. The announcement was met with shock and outrage by the public and leading animal protection groups and calls were made for the plans to be scrapped immediately. CAPS established a petition to the Olympic organisers and, in just five days, almost 3,500 people have signed up to oppose the planned animal exploitation.
If you have not signed the petition already, please do so now. If you have already signed, please share the petition using the simple sharing tools available on the site to ask friends to do the same. A few moments of your time will help to send the message loud and clear to officials that these plans will not be supported.
