Milk question.

Mine love Goats milk

We use cat milk has to be wehiskas the Clan won't drink any others and we also do goats milk and that goes down well to as Daddy thinks they drink 3 bottles a day its closer to 5  so I top it up with a litre carton of Goats milk

Riley is beautiful I love blue cats.
The carton says 'use within 3 days of opening', that being said so does normal milk, however you can smell milk when its 'off' and in practice it seems good for about a week kept in the fridge - they drink it way too fast for that to happen anyway

Not tried it myself (on the boys  ) but have heard of it before. How long does the carton last for once opened? Also do you know if you can freeze it?

My two used to be kitty milk addicts but I was a mean Mummy and weaned them off it as it was so expensive in the quantities they were getting through!

Riley was aiming to be a poster boy for milk...



This carton wasn't even open yet they were standing on their hind legs going mad for it!

not all cats have a problem with lactose and if they have been drinking cat milk i think that is not lactose free, much to my suprise.

you need to check the label though.

as far as o know its just lactose in ,ilk thats tjhe problem

For a few weeks now I have been buying Lactofree milk for my cats as a cheaper alternative to cat milk. The boys love their milk and I know they shouldn't have normal cows milk as cats are lactose intolerant, they were going through the little cartons and bottles of cat milk at an alarming rate before I thought of possible alternatives so buying Lactofree for just less than £1 for a 1 litre container seemed like a really good solution, it also lasts for ages.
Does anyone else do this? and is it just the Lactose in milk that cats need to avoid as I did consider soya milk but have not tried it yet.
I should add that I have noticed no tummy problems since I started using it.
