I couldn't get hold of her again last night but this morning she told me she got the kitten back. Don't know yet how - whether the neighbours opened it or if a friend came round a kicked the door in.

It was only a tiny kitten - not more than 3 months old. Poor baby. She's in safe hands now.

Fraid so. If they aren't opening the door your friend (I feel) is well within her rights to pop whatever lock's on the shed and replace it when she's got her kitten back.

Let us know what happens - poor little thing.

The police won't do anything  .... until you break into the shed .. then I'm suure they'll be there in a flash!

Has she phoned the police?    Cats are property and her property is in someone's shed and may die.

Break in and get shed repaired is my response, kitten will be terrified, cold and hugry and thats more important to save than a shed

Im not sure on the legal aspect but if it was my kitten I would break the door or even pull off a panel and face the hassle afterwards x

My friend in Ipswich is desperate for help - her kitten is stuck in her neighbours shed and for whatever reason they can't open the door (not sure if they're away or just won't do it). She believes the kitten has been stuck in there for 4 days now. She called "a big animal rescue place'' but they said they cannot help until tomorrow night - because it's not guaranteed to be her cat, it's not deemed as urgent (ummm wtf - there is STILL A CAT stuck in a shed!).

Are there ways to get a cat rescue/organisation to help? My friend is prepared to pay someone to break the door in. I know this can cause all sorts of issues so was wondering if there's a way to get the cat out safely?
