Steff I meant to foster them till they are ready to be homed which I'm sure your CP would let you do that way you get a kitten fix but know they are going to leave

I'd go with what JS has said, pop along and offer to arrange a CP neutering voucher

Sadly, not much you can do then. I'm fairly sure if Mum cat is as ignored as it sounds, she'll hide them well to protect them rather than show someone where they are.

But get on top of the spaying voucher; at least if you do that you can stop it happening again. I remember this happening years ago with a couple who had a cat that looked like a female version of my boy Toby - I'd let her in my house when I was half asleep not realising it wasn't Toby because he was already in!

I didn't know they'd not had her spayed (I just assumed everyone got the op done, rather naively) and was told one day that she'd got pregnant, had her kittens and then disappeared. I was horrified and I think it's one of the things that's led me to be as interfering as I am with regards to cats.

That's what I'll do JS as I have contacts at CP and RSPCA now. No idea on name or address but will try and sort all that if I go up there.

They have no idea where the kittens are and do not even seem to care

I'm not allowed to take them in...OH would hit the roof.

He doesn't want me getting involved for fear that I will bring them home!

But I can't just leave them, I'm worried if they will have even made it through the week but then I guess feral babies manage "out in the wild"

As well as the kittens safety, I also feel that getting mum neutered is a huge priority.

Do you know the full name and address? You could explain your concerns and apply for an open ended spay voucher on the owners behalf. Even offer to help get Mum to the vets for the spay if necessary....some people are too lazy to motivate themselves to get to a vet.

With regards to the kittens, do you actually have ANY idea where they are?

Steff I think you should give it a go and if they aren't coping perhaps ask if you can take Mum till the kittens are weaned and return Mum neutered to them

Earlier this year I was able to persuade someone I know to get her male cat neutered (she was unaware of the risks and dangers etc). He was also getting her neighbours female cat pregnant on a regular basis!

The lady tried to persuade the neighbour to get her female cat neutered as well but that haven't bothered!!!

I found out last night that mum cat was pregnant again and gave birth to the kitten at the beginning of this week....OUTSIDE!!!

Obviously I am concerned about the kittens safety and welfare but the owner isn't and is of the opinion that the mum cat is getting to the kittens wherever they are!!

So, do I go up there after work and meet the lady I know; try to find the kittens and take them to the owner so she can keep them inside with mum and then also discuss the neutering issue (I would get a rspca or cp voucher and even take the cat to the vets if they really can't be bothered) or should I just leave them to it and mind my own business??
