Sammy, long gone to Rainbow Bridge, used to follow me around telling me about her day as soon as I got in from work, after I had got on my knees so that she could put her forepaws around my neck and have face rubs first.

Trouble purrs at me when he wants something, plonks himself in front of me and purrs louder and louder until I satisfy his wants.

Cassie sounds just like 'Simons Cat' (look it up on Facebook if you haven't seen it). That is just Cassie to a tee, but without the destruction! That would be an amalgum (sp) of Cassie and my well named Bridge Baby Barney Rubble, cos that is what he reduced my flat to! The number of times he had the curtain pole off the wall when I got in from work.........unbeliveable.

She was 10 in that photo and she is now 13 and 1/2. I know she looks very young BUT some days she does look her age.

Here's the very 1st pic I took of her when I adopted her from the RSPCA - she'd only been in the house 10 minutes and she wanted me to do everything for her.

I could listen to cats purring forever its so relaxing! As soon as Davey and Tinks get on my bed they both start purring, cos I have a big furry fleecy blanket over my duvet and they love it! Tinks has a really loud purr too bless her! With Davey you have to put your head on his side to listen for the purr lol!!

Catweazle purrs like an engine, preferably while sleeping in between our pillows.
I will always know when Catweazle gets on the bed by his loud purring.

Sounds like Tinks Kirst, she really does howl sometimes. It scared me at first, but now I'm used to it and know she's not ill or anything lol! The noise drives me insane sometimes and she has her good and bad days!

I love Algie's technique - have had that a few times (Tinks again), she'll jump on my face when she's desperate for me to get up!
HAHA on the "you never guess" meow from Dillon - I love that kind of meow! Am quite lucky, Davey doesn't bring me presents back thankfully. My late cat Jess used to go missing for days then randomly turn up with a field mouse half dead in his mouth. I remember one summer we had left the patio doors open and mum was in the kitchen. She went for something to the fridge and at the same time I heard a weird noise... Looked through and Jess had just dumped a lovely field mouse next to mums feet. She turned and screamed the place down - it was hilarious! That was the only time he brought something in the house but we'd always have dead birds in the garden or a feather bomb explosion in the garden too, bless him, I do miss Jess lots!

Beavis is possible the gobbiest cat I have ever come across - its more a howl than a meow , and he can keep it up for hours!!

Algie has a very specific plaintive meow that he does when he is demanding attention which he will do constantly until I do as I am told. Noodle on the other hand will do his Meerkat impression, which if I fail to notice is followed by a claw in the leg or bottom

If they think it is time for me to get out of bed Noodle will keep jumping on the bed next to my face while Algie's technique is to jump on the bed, bounce onto me using me as a sort of springboard to launch himself off the the other side.

Amber is a total purr bum. If she wants attention she knows either jump on me or do something like knock everything off the table works.
That said all I have to do is look at her and she purrs. I do find it odd sometimes as Mogs was really vocal and would 'chat' to you. Whatever you said she replied although I dont know how much Im glad I didnt understand

Im feeling pretty yucky at the moment so my parents took me out for lunch and a drive to see the moors. I got home and flopped on the settee and woke half an hour later to find Amber happily sitting on me and purring away......what more could you have to make you

Dillon definately has a "you'll never guess what just happened" meow when he comes in from some adventure, and a very distinctive one when the adventure includes bringing home his presents - mice, birds, worms, elastic bands, rubber gloves, swimming goggles (actually quite glad he could not tell me how he got those...)

To get my attention once inside he'll sit on the keyboard if I am on computer or just push his way onto my lap purring at a huge rate of decibels. At night he pats my face, but if he's hungry I am sure that he deliberately breaks wind which is so noxious I get up and feed him so he leaves bedroom......manipulative or what?

Tom on the other hand just swipes at legs if not getting enough attention (with claws out so am always loathed to reward the bad behaviour with cuddles)

hehe some lovely stories there I really like them! I just, am always amazed at how different each cat is and how they all have their own qualities and characteristics!

Davey meows a lot when I make him jump. If he's fast asleep on my bed I love going in and sneaking up on him and then I whisper to him and lie down next to him and stroke him - he makes the little "puur" noise - the bit before the meow

My tortie Steffie was a real talker....
She would even meow in her sleep, and reply to my love birds' yep-yepping.
She would be fast asleep, and we would hear: yep yep........... meow; yep yep.............. meow

She would also come and tell us if something was wrong. She'd point out that the window cleaner had been around, or that something had fallen.....

And she'd bring me breakfast in bed. In the middle of the night, she would come into the bedroom, bbbrrrreeooowwwing, because dhe could not open her mouth without losing the mouse she was holding. She would drop the mouse on the floor for me and be very proud she took such good care of me.
Once she brought me a live mouse and dumped it on the bed. When I kicked it off, it ran under the bed and she went after it and ate it on the spot.

Charlie has always been chatty, but since we moved last year Poppy also chats more and they shout for each other, play hide and seek which I love, Poppy hides around the corner of the bed and charlie runs around wahing for her.

She also will shout at me for her dinner or a pick up cuddle. Charlie meows back at me as well, the other day I did Poppys shouty noise and she came running in from the garden.lol

We can have so much fun and hours of entertainment with the girls, abigail doesent talk but she makes herself heard. She has this endearing look that she gives you, and she will sit and stare at you until you ask her what is wrong, she will then open her mouth to say meow but nothing comes out, but she follows me around all the time, I am sure she thinks she is a dog, especially when the post man turns up, we had a post box put on the wall outside because they were getting frightened when the post fell onto the mat, but she hears him outside and runs at the door growling. So funny.

some cats are just vocal i think. cole is terrible, i thought neutering would have stopped it but sometimes he talks to the other cats and it is a loud conversation. especially when it's maddie he's talking to as she talks back! they also talk to me quite a bit. they are funny little creatures!

I was worried at first that tinks was unhappy or ill.. The amount she meows is ridiculous sometimes but am used to it now!

Davey also stands in front of me the collapses down in a heap and lies there on his back looking at me until i fuss him! Impossible to ignore lol!!

If i point my finger randomly they both come running to rub their noses on it lol!! Theyre great characters arent they!

Tinks sounds very much like Maddie, she is very vocal and she likes to jump on me and wake me up. and she will push to sit on my lap when she is tired and wants her tummy tickled. most of them walk up to me and stand next to me as i will fuss whoever is then whenever!

So, Tinks is the vocal type of kitten... meow this meow that constantly! It's took me a while to figure out which meow means what etc, whether she's hungry or wants a fuss or if she's not well etc etc.

I'm back up to speed now hehe and have just noticed one of the signs for her "give me some attention" demand...

She sits at my feet, turns so her bum is facing me, arches her back and then walks backwards to rub her backside on me. If I pull my foot away she simply moves backwards and she wont settle until I stroke her... it's amazingly funny! She looks a bit like she's spraying but she's not! I love it!

Davey tends to want to be on my level when he wants attention. He'll jump up onto a surface (kitchen, chair, bed etc) and then stand on his back legs using his front to lean on me. He follows me absolutely everywhere when he wants a fuss and won't give up until I stroke him!

What do your cats do when they are demanding attention?
