She's gone
Discussed options with my vet, to do further tests (thyroid and kidneys) but given her age and the likliehood that any treatment is probably only going to give her a few months at most, I made the decision, she went very peacefully. When she first came to me after her owner had died I had the devil of a job to get her to eat, mum was here a few days after I'd got her and offered Zeta a piece of dry food from her hand - which she readily ate - later found out that her elderly owner had hand fed her most of the time! I did get her to eat from a plate eventually, but it took a bit of time
Last year I took Zeta over to visit my mum when she was still in her flat. Mum had been in and out of hospital and was then housebound, so hadnt been able to see the cats for a long time. Zeta made herself completely at home, sat on mum's lap and seeing how happy it made mum was priceless.
Love this pic of her sitting in the sun last spring
Took this last pic of her yesterday, curled up with Lucy
