She could be back in heat, but quite a lot of them get fed up of their kittens, so if you haven't already, provide3 some high up places that she can jump up on (not climb, cos then the kittens will follow), to get away from them.

Nope pappa not been spayed yet because the kittens are still with her the vet said to wait until they are at their new homes ( Peppa has not been out since having the kittens so no fear of her being caught again) Thanks :D

Maybe Peppa is hormonal, has she been speyed yet? From what I have read on Purrs one of a queen's tasks is to teach her kittens manners and that is why it's best to keep them with mum longer than eight weeks if possible. I assume this part of her job happens relatively late on in their development IYSWIM; that is just a guess tho as I have never dealt with kittens.

Hey thanks for that. I think i will let him be just now but if i see anymore i will take him up to see the vets.
One more question though . . . Peppa seems to have turned from a fantastic mummy to a rather angry one. She has taken to biting the kittens and not the way she used to on the back of the neck but now seems to be holding onto them and biting their heads. I think it must hurt them because they cry and struggle to get away unlike before when the quieted down. Is this ok or should i be taking the kittens away to their new homes to make sure none of them are hurt ? They are all eating now and using the litter box which i think is amazing as we never had so much as one accident to clean up they all just started using it. We were expecting alot of little mess' to clean up.
Thanks again

If you are really worried its best to get this seen by a vet

I suppose a picture might confirm but it sounds like skin pigmentation to me.

Hi so im sure this is just another silly question but one of Peppas kittens has black dots on his nose. Now thats not the problem because he had one small one when he was born the problem is that now there is more than one and the are alot bigger. Is this normal ? Im a litte worried that they are getting bigger and there are more of them.
I can post up a picture if youd like.
Thanks
Michelle
