DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I managed without yesterday.  I put my small bottle inside his cover and he was happy with that.  I was freezing and had to wear a jumper over my pyjamas!  I have today bought him a new bottle from boots.  I felt that was the safest place as they still have the exact same bottle with cover so I could make sure I got the right size.  They didn't have many left but one was all i needed.  Hopefully tonight we will both be toasty warm with our bottles.

I would be more inclined to go today, apparently tomorrow is the busiest day! Unless you're going to go at the crack of dawn, that might be less painful.

I always find local independent chemists really good for this sort of thing but if you haven't then that doesn't really help. Or somewhere like B&M, Poundstretcher?

The problem is actually getting to these places given the weather and the xmas traffic.  I don't really have any small shops near me - just shopping centres where I know parking will be a nightmare.  Tbh, I think I might just make him make do for one more night as I plan to go to the Trafford Centre early tomorrow morning.  I bought the original in Boots so I should be able to get a new bottle for the cover at the large Boots there.  I dont really want to buy a whole new bottle plus cover, Gill - it will cost more and I'm skint as usual and he doesn't need a new cover.  I really can't think of anywhere to go that won't be a nightmare this afternoon.  Hopefully he will be ok with my bottle inside his cover.  I think the reason he wouldn't entertain that last night was because he'd already tried to lie down on the first one that leaked and got a bit wet!  He wasn't going to go near it after that but he might have forgotten about that by tonight!

He still had his snugglesafe heat pad but he was disgusted that he had to go and sleep on that at the bottom of the bed instead of just having that as backup for when his bottle goes cold.  Poor lad - I got a bit ratty with him.  What did he expect me to do about it at 2am? (and yes, if the weather hadn't been bad there's a possibility I would have driven to the 24 hour asda to see if they had any)

Llyods chemist sells them without the cover or at least the one near me does.

I would have thought any chemist would sell them and even if they have a cover , you can take it off.

Superdrug??

Jaffa is a grumpy old man (and where can I get a replacement hot water bottle)

I discovered last night that Jaffa's hot water bottle had sprung a leak.  He wasn't happy and turned into a right grump refusing to settle anywhere else on the bed for hours.  Even when I gave him  mine (a small one that I inserted into his cover on top of his empty bottle) he wouldn't even go near it.  So he kept me awake for hours sulking and has made it clear that I need to get a replacement asap.  I finish work at lunchtime but I am not going anywhere near Boots at the Trafford Centre at that time of day.  The only other Boots stores I could go to are small so probably won't sell the bottles (without the cover).   Can anyone suggest somewhere that they know sells hot water bottles?  With the weather being what it is I can't really go traipsing from shop to shop but I am desperate for a decent nights sleep tonight and I won't get it if Jaffa doesn't have his hot water bottle  :shify:
