Cat over the road refuses to use doors. He'll stand AT the front door while his human goes in, has to go upstairs to open the bedroom window, before climbing up the render like spiderman into the bedroom window.

My mum's cats also just slum it and use windows - first floor windows they jump to from a fence nearby (my mum's house is built into the side of a hill)... occasionally they misjudge their landing (well Bailey isn't the sharpest pencil in the box) and anyone in the dining room downstairs gets to watch a cat plummet past the window and skulk off in a huff.

wait till one of them finds the flap is a good spot to stand guard over 'his' territory :evillaugh:

All except young Merlin's twin Groucho.  He has almost gone AWOL thru it twice tho.

Plan to allow him to go out alone on Christmas morning when he will be 6 months so that's his big day  :) and start of my heart attacks  :scared:  He's been out accompanied at weekends so he knows his garden and his back door  :)

It will be such a relief when everyone is using the flap again as it is so difficult having one rule for 6 and another for 1.

Malachi, now almost a grown up boy, has suddenly discovered that he has his own little door to the great outside. Clever boy he got there much faster than Merlin who is a little older. However, today he finally got it too. They are flying in and out showing off now, appearing with a 'prrt', then off again so pleased with themselves.
Do your cats use a flap?
