Every day for the last week I have checked Jessicas teats to make sure there were no further problems and that the milk supply was diminishing, this morning to my delight all milk had gone. " My Jessica what a clever girl you are we will get you booked in for your spay tomorrow" says I.
By this afternoon all hopes of her spay had gone for yet another week, the crafty flusey is busy calling.

Jessica looks brighter today though the poor girl must be in awful pain. After a night of checking kittens and constantly removing Pippa from litter tray and scent exchanging with her brothers she finally settled in the bed with them at 4am so hopefully today may be a lot better all round.

The 3 boys are now accepting each other again and eating together, but Pippa (girl) is still very upset by events and staying in the litter tray away from her brothers and not eating a lot.

Sam
Kittens are not allowed back with mum under any circumstances, this could turn very unpleasant for her think similar thing happened with Denise`s Flora who had the 9 kittens?

Christine
The leg should be fine he is already walking better, just have to watch incase any puncture marks were missed on examination and look out for signs of abcess.

All hugs and cuddles have been passed on :)  :thanks:

Poor Jessica and poor kittens, especially dear little Hobnob.  Will his leg need further treatment, does the vet think?

Jessica and kittens awful day
« Reply #1 on: April 10, 2007, 13:34:21 PM »
Poor Jessica and her kittens have been through a rough morning; Catpen totally trashed with poo all over walls and a smelly terrified Hobnob limping and hiding from his family who were all stressed out.
Rushed them all to vet and poor mum has a problem inasmuch that she has suddenly started to over produce milk and is in pain, this resulted in her attacking her kittens so shes had a couple of injections and all kittens taken away from her.
Hobnob took the worst of the beating from mum and has a twisted leg but vet says he will be ok, poor boy must have been so scared he emptied everything out and was plastered in it.
So mum is having a well deserved rest and the kittens have been washed apart from Hobnob who needed drastic measures he has had a bath, hopefully they will all calm down a bit now and mum will quickly respond to treatment.
