Thanks everyone, not heard back from the other home yet but it's only been a day since I replied to them. I am really chuffed at the news really, I know everyone will be happier in the long run and it's for the best, it's just the selfish part of me that wants him to stay. I don't know how you fosterers cope with doing this all the time!

Great news!  Fingers crossed that he finds himself a new home but nice to know that the Blue Cross can take him if not.  I hope he finds his forever home soon.  He's a lovely boy.

That's good news  Darcy is a little stunner and from how you describe him a lovely cat so if he can get a rescue place I'm sure he'll be snapped up in no time.

You've done a fab job of rescuing him from a horrible  situatuion so if you can find him a forever home that'll be the icing on the cake  ;D

I'd snap the rescue place up and see what comes of the PM enquiry while things are being sorted. Hopefully the PM enquiry will be the perfect home for him and the rescue space won't be needed but if not at least you have the space as back up  :)

  You've done the vest you can for Darcy. Sometimes cats just don't get on, and it's really upsetting.

Good luck with the home. Hope it's suitable for Darcy. :)

Just had a phone call from a lovely lady at the Blue Cross who says she has a space for Darcy in one of her fostering pens  :) Also had a private message from someone tonight asking if we still had him so I'm going to investigate that first as an option. I've had about five or six people messaging me seeming really interested but then they all suddenly stopped replying with no explanation  :tired: So the Blue Cross lady said to try and find out more about this home first and call her back on Friday if I still want him to go to her for rehoming. I'm really happy there's a solution but can't help feeling sad too :(
