Woo! A kitty forum, I love you guys already!
Hello from Co. Cork, Ireland. You can call me Slink and I'd like to introduce the furries!
First off we have Scuba, he's our 5 year old German Shepherd and most ardent cat lover! He loooooves his kitty family so much so that my boyfriend and I joke that he likes to think of himself as a cat. He'd purr if he could!
Next we have Oscar, our 2 year old moggie cat. He turned up on our doorstep as a teeny tiny kitty early November 2008 and decided he liked the look of us so he stayed.
Holmes joined us in November 2009, also a stray moggie kitten on our doorstep. He wasn't as sure about us as Oscar had been, and we weren't sure about him so we were going to ask our lovely old vet to see if they could find him a home. As he was being carried to the car he jumped out of my arms and ran off. Few hours later he's back, scratching at the window looking for more grub! We took that as a sign that he should stay. Lucky for him! He got sick very quickly afterwards and it was a tough fight! He had to be fed by syringe and his little lungs were so bad, he could barely breathe! He's a tough cookie though and he got better eventually, he's a skinny little chap, only starting to grow into himself a year on.
And so on to our latest arrival. It's November again and you've guessed it...another kitten! This little girl arrived yesterday morning. She has no name yet. Since the two other cats are book based names I'd love for her to have a book based name as well. Am sort of thinking Heidi but will have to see if it fits her right. Anyway, yesterday morning I could hear a cat crying in distress, checked our two boys, they're fine. Open the door and inside our closed porch is a tiny, tiny kitten. Someone walked up our drive over night and dumped a cat in our porch. We just moved here!
Lucky for them I don't know who they are, and lucky for her we're big softies! Hoping the other animals accept her and she settles in. If not, we'll find her the best home ever! (next to ours of course!)
