I looked into this for Clapton, except I was looking for enteric ones for probiotics. During my reading, I read that if you have trouble with them going down, you can coat them in Olive oil. I would definitely syringe water after giving gelatine capsules as they are likely to stick on the way down .

They sell the flavoured ones here. They apparently sell chicken ones as well but nothing comes up when you select them. They ship to the UK as well but not sure if they charge extra http://www.capsuline.com/index.php?cPath=1_21

The problem is, you have to buy 1000 which is around £18

My Mum used them for her cat .....
We bought both size 3 and 4 and from what I can remember I think we used size 3 which was big enough for all 3 of her tablets

Going by this, you need size 4 or 5 http://www.torpac.com/capsule_size_chart.htm

Capsuline sell flavoured cat ones but they are size 3 - probably too big for most cats.

I bought some ages ago, it can be difficult to order them as I think they can be used for illegal substances. The ones I bought came in flavours - think mine are chicken.

I'll have a search in the house and see if I can find some......

Having spent alot of time i thought i would post here to see if anyone has done this before and has some thoughts and ideas.
My Bella is on new (better) tablets for her heart condition... Trouble is both are not strictly drugs for animals and thus are not really very nice.. They are bitter and smell and she nows when i have put them in food and dreats and i waste so many.

When i last when to the vets with Bella 2wks ago for a check up the American vet mentioned that in USA she advises people to use empty gel capsules that you can fill with meds and put in the food of the animal as a way of getting meds into their system.. Both these new drugs are used for cats and dogs but the manufactures have yet to come up with palatable taste.. She still takes her usual meds that are okay for cats well in treats.. I am not willing to stress her out with forcing them down her.

So last weekend i brough some gel capsules that were size 3 but these prove to be too big.. and although i had success for a few days putting them in food and prawns, you wasite the tablet and the capsules if they are not eaten straight away as they dissolve... I have thus stopped the new tablets and contined as normal on the old ones she takes fine with webbox.. I have spent hours on line trying to trace a small size say 10mm of capsules. Some American sites are geared up for "pet capsules" and actually make them in flavours but its not for the UK.. I went back tot he cardio vet that suggested i keep on trying to find a way to give them too her.. But again its not something i will sress her out with.. These 2 new drugs are newer and one is a large white tablet that is a duretic and the other (sorry i have forgotten)! But is fairly small and is only a quarter a day..I was told by the American vet that she has had lots of success with cats that refuse to take hyper t tablets long term or cats that are really fussy with food...and just by the fact that it did work first time proves that it can.. But it needs to be a smaller isze.. I ahve tried websites Value  Health care, but despite leaving messages to ask questions they have not got back to me.. So again i dont want to spend money on something that is not really no better then i have already...one suggestion is to use orginary capsules that you can get from Health shops and empty them and then put the tablets in them...But there may be some residue of the old drug...I am really getting abit bogged down with it all.. I want to do the best for Bella but the vets (other then the American vet) have not really given me advice how to do this.. Both tablets are quite expensive and although she is insured again its extreme waste when i have to throw them away..

Has anyone used this technique before? Which by the way is very clever really..and if it did work would take away alot of stress Bella is a siamese and not easily fooled!!
Any ideas really, really appreciated and if anyone can even come up with a size chart for a capsule that is say 10mm it would be great i found one website that did (and a lot more ) but they were based in China (Capsules. com)size]
