I use Viovet now for meds and never have a problem with them, plus if just meds P&P is only £1

Hi Helen.  As a customer; I was recommended to them last year through a friend in Skipton who is a consultant who did some work for them.  I used petsensedirect before then, but I like the vet first, retailer second ethic of VetUK.

Ayjaybee, can I ask, are you connected to VetUK?

I have placed an order with VetUK at around 6pm on a Thursday evening and received it by Saturday lunchtime.  I order regularly from them and normally about 3 months supply of Renalzin and Cystease.  Once a year they get a big order where I am ordering flea products and wormers for the year for 2 dogs and 7 cats and still I receive it within 2 days of ordering and have never received any products that have been damaged and the wormers are always seperated by either being in original boxes or in the little envelopes the vets give out and stapled shut so they can not be mixed up.

No, I don't think so? I've never had a problem personally and the only time my friend who orders from them had an instance of it taking a day longer than she expected, when she looked into it it was DPD the parcel shipping company at fault, not VetUK.  Their pricing is still consistently good overall too in my experience; it's rare I have found anyone cheaper for the stuff I buy regularly.  Packaging is good too; I notice they recycle it, but is always taped up well and I've never had anything arrive damaned.

If I want an item quickly, I order from Petmeds now.

That's good to know  :)

btw - I compared a few prices and the difference is pennies. A year or so ago, Ipakitine was about £12 from vet UK and £14+ from other places. VetUK now charge £14 as well. A bag of RC sensible is 20p more from Pedmeds but a better chance of receiving it quickly.

Now that I come to think about it - I'm sure I put my order in on friday lunchtime and it came next day.  I knew it was going to be too big to go through the letterbox as I'd ordered flea spray so I was hoping it would come on a Saturday and kept checking my email after ordering to see when despatched.  It was despatched late in the afternoon on the day I ordered and came next morning.

Definitely getting slower.  I think to ship the same day was exceptional services and certainly not expected, to ship the next day is what I would expect and then hopefully receive the day after that although I appreciate they cannot control Royal Mail delivery times.

My last order took 7 days to despatch and even then it had an item missing as it was out of stock, why let orders be placed when they know the item is not in stock, even the most basic websites don't do this   :tired:

Agreeded. I use Zooplus occasionally but even they are slow and their packaging leaves alot to be desired. I ordered from vetuk once and only once. My item sat in Manchester for 3 days. I know i'm in Northern Ireland and it's considered offshore but come on!!

I'm sure at one time, they used to ship order the same day. I ordered some things on Tuesday night - admittedly, it was late. I am still waiting for an email telling me my order has shipped - however they were quick enough putting the payment through as it is showing on my bank account already. I think the only thing they have going for them is price - although even there, the gap between theirs and other sellers prices is narrowing to the point where I would rather pay a tad more for service.

If I want an item quickly, I order from Petmeds now.
