It maybe worth seeing if he settles down after a while or diverting his attention by playing with him yourself if you see him going to pester the other cat.

We do already have plug ins. Carrie (the oldest) has dementia and it helps a small amount I think.

The problem is that Darwins behaviour is so unpredicatable. I've seen Sage and him sleep literally inches away from each other but as soon as he starts jumping on her all hell breaks loose. :tired:

Don't know why he won't just play with Astryd. She's really good and tells him when she's had enough!

Had a similar problem with Soap terrorising Marble! Marble has always been Miss Anti-social but Soap would tried to force the issue with her. Feliway helped massively (if you haven't already got it) and would be a lot cheaper than a playmate. Marble is now a lot more tolerant and has even started to play back...caught her chasing Soap up the stairs the other morning!!!

Don't Sam...we did consider it. But (a) we would really be pushing the budget beyond belief and (b) there's no guarantee the new playmate would take to Darwin, and vice versa. What if both youngsters decide bothering Sage is more fun? She'd seriously lose the plot, poor thing!

Any other suggestions? :)

Darwin's missing his buddy....

Need a bit of advice. As some of you may know a friend of mine moved into the house next door to me. She already had a lovely black and white cat called Smudge, but she also took on a little tabby girl I found on the freeads. She'd been put on there because she'd pulled the Christmas tree down and they were keeping the poor thing in the garden. (At six months and unspayed....)

Recently, my friend got issued with a notice for her to move. They've decided to sell the house next door, not rent it. So clearly she took her two cats to their new home.

Darwin got on really well with the little tabby girl (Lilly) who is roughly the same age as him and it's clear he's missing her. He keeps trying to get Sage to play which is possibly the worst choice out of our three other cats as she's so nervous. Any ideas on how to deal with the situation?
